Yes, but I doubt that one doughnuts worth of sucrose is likely to make someone feel shitty and lethargic.

I have felt it.    just makes you feel sick, sluggish. and then goes away an hour or so later.

But, I RARELY consume corn syrups and other heavily processed sugars. people who consume them daily I am sure have adapted to them.
