Yea its Sparassis spathulata. I have never tried it.

I found a few of these once. They were delicious! I soaked mine in salt water for a few minutes to chase out the buggies, and then rinsed, then pan fried with some olive oil, butter, and garlic. This mushrooms is very tasty.

Don't eat too much the first time though. It gave me a little trouble on the backend, but nothing too serious. Just fyi, but I read that not everyone reacts this way to it. word to the wise.

Lately I have been using them in stews but there are lots of great ways to prepair them.
