was cooking bacon, I tried to talk him out of it but he had to have one that
was only slightly cooked. 2 piece of bacon and he was screwed for about 3 days

I knew this kid who went on the Atkins diet with his mom and lost shit tons of weight eating nothing but bacon, and I mean absolutely nothing but bacon. I didnt believe him at first, cause you look at bacon and its greasy delicious fatty greatness and this now skinny kid and it just dont add up but when I was at his house one day I told him I thought he was full of shit, but he called his mom up and she told me that ya he really did and that shes got the reciepts to prove how much bacon he ate. Fucking crazy if I had the money to buy that much bacon I would eat nothing else...but I dont so I'm taking my ass to the nearset Hong Kong Buffet.

No way I'm reading 7 pages of replies over this topic but here's my input:

Chinese food tastes good because, like most Asian foods, it incorporates sweet/sour/salty/(sometimes) spicy/fatty into one flavor with many textures.  Because of ice ages and famine throughout human history, the brain is wired to enjoy foods that provide us with the MOST BASIC necessities; water, salt, fat, and carbohydrates.  Asian food literally hits every evolutionary string in our brain to make us think it tastes good.  MSG tricks our brains that much more hence why it's in most Chinese restaurants.

Therefore, OP is an alien.

This is now the thread of why I'm the true 17th Karmapa lama.
The 16th died after my birth, but really close to where I was born/raised.
Given my theory of reincarnation through possession, I hardly see that as an issue.
I'm nice, damn it.

If I were to ever laugh, it would be equal to that of the buddha, in my best guesstimation.

Because there is 50 fucking trillion of them.

Also, American Chinese food, is not Chinese food.

It is MSG soaked shit designed for american gullets. ie- mostly meat.
They learned long time ago what sells here and what doesn't.
99% of the dishes are just 'played off of' or inspired by certain chinese dishes,
with maybe some trace elements of the actual dish..  but developed and refined in america, thus.. american chinese food.

Most american chinese dishes are somewhat based off of original chinese dishes, but tailored to the american palette. Many of the "Chinese dishes" you are familiar with were probably invented in America by Chinese people, to feed American people. And loaded with MSG and sugar and crap. I don't recall the exact history but around the turn o' the century or something, when there were billions of chinese immigrating here they were cooking their food but we didn't like it, so they messed with the recipes and americanized them.

I treat American Chinese as a different thing from real Chinese.  Real Chinese food you can really only make yourself.  There is one restaurant here here that serves traditional Chinese fare but they don't even offer it to whitie.  You literally have to know or be an Asian to get the menu.

This is because neither meat nor fat are bad for you. :awesome:

A human can thrive on just fat and protein, thus bacon. Carbs, including vegetables, are pretty much optional.
