heh, well it looks like it could be an in vitro shroom. Just keep an eye on it, does it look like mushie flesh to you? The picture quality kinda makes it hard to be sure, but almost none of the pictures posted on the shroomery clear. The only other thing i could think it would be is wet bubble contam, but i doubt it. Good luck, vivid

Well, it wasn't there untill it got FULLY colonized, that what makes me think its in vitro, but its a little different color then the rest of the cake. If it is in vitro, what can I expect to see from it in the next few days or so??

Congatulations . That looks like an in vitro to me. How many days to fully colonize? I would suggest that the cake be birthed. The little mushroom may abort after birthing but don't sweat it . More will spring up soon. Try to peel off any aborts as they will go rotten from the inside. You will recognize aborts easily after one growing cycle. An abort is a pinhead or a bump of mycelial mass that starts to grow and then stops growing for no reason.

It looks like invitro to me. Here is a pic of the cambodian cub invitro. The interesting thing about this one was that it didnt start germinating until day 7, then fully colonized and started pinning and invitro 15 days later. 22 days total, I was quite shocked to see this since it didn't even start growing for 7 days. These are test jars from the current #8 cam batch out.-peace- [This message has been edited by Ryche Hawk (edited April 29, 2000).]

It took about 16-17 days until it fully colonized, it was the first of the batch, and it was about 2 more days till another two were fully colonized. The rest (7 more), are close, but I'm going to leave them in there for about 5 more days.
