Unable to connect to IRC chat

I don't know if I'm alone here but I can't seem to find the fabled shroomery chat room. I'm doing everything I can think of.

1) Start mIRC
2) Connect, port 6667
3) Join channel irc.shroomery.org, cannot find?!?!?!

*scratches head* I need some help here.

it's "shroomery.org port 6667" not "irc.shroomery.org por....."

irc.shroomery.org should work as well..

and yes the channel is #shroomery..

In the diologue box at the bottom of the mirc window type

/server irc.shroomery.org

After you connect, which'll take a second or two, type /j #shroomery
