How is that damning?  It's proof that there was once an egregious error made by the police who mixed up evidence.  There is not even a shred of evidence that happened here.  I don't see how it matters whether the forensic detection of hair banding is new or not.

There was more than garbage in there.  Caylee's dead body was also in there.  I'd also like you to link me to something that shows a bag of garbage can produce chloroform.  A landfill is full of compact garbage that's been there for many years.  One bag of garbage in a trunk is completely difference and I don't see any evidence it should react in the same way.

lol... are you kidding... compounds from decomposition but they cant
verify it's human, chloroform is produced in landfills by decomposing
garbage but the decomposing garbage in the trunk is completely different
because you believe landfill trash is compacted and been there for many
years... even though both are the same thing with one being a larger
volume than the other... they only found traces of chloroform, not a
bottle, not a chloroform soaked rag, not some spilled in the carpet, just
a minute amount in an air sample showing something decomposed and theres
traces of chloroform... you think they may have sent the trunk carpet to
the lab to have it tested for the decomposition fluids associated with
human remains? what was the result?

you're basing that on the media presented evidence, you may have a different
opinion had you actually been on the jury, my lawyer said to me during a
lawsuit "if the jury comes back quick, it looks good, the longer it takes
them the worse it looks" my jury took 4 minutes to grab their coats and
decide who would be the foreman and deliver the verdict. the Anthony trial
required a couple of hours of deliberation, not days as happens in most death
penalty cases

No, I'm not kidding.  Chemical reactions, decomposition, fermentation, etc. all happen in specific orders.  You can't ferment sugar into vinegar.  The sugar needs to first be turned into ethanol before it becomes vinegar.  It's completely plausible that it takes several years for a pile of garbage to start producing even traces of chloroform.
