Central Florida is notorious for being hick country.  Some of the jurors had never even owned computers.  I'm sure half of them didn't even believe in evolution, let alone DNA.

Even if she didn't get murder, even if she didn't get manslaughter, she was acquitted for child abuse.  That's fucking ridiculous.  There was DNA proof that the dead body was in the back of her car.  She had duct tape over her mouth and nose.  You don't put duct tape over a dead person's mouth, and you don't put it over a living person's mouth and nose if you would like them to continue living.  This was a murder, and there is absolutely no doubt about that.  She was acquitted because in the jurors' minds someone else could have killed her.  But why do you claim your kid drowned in a pool if someone else killed her?  Even if she did drown, why would you duct tape the mouth and nose shut and then dump the body?  And party for a month after your kid dies?  Losing your child definitely makes for a "beautiful life." 

Even if it wasn't first degree murder, it's pretty obvious that she's guilty of more than just lying to the police.  Neglect resulting in death?  Tampering with evidence?  Unlawful removal of a body?

This actually happened 8 miles away from where my brother lives.  I was at his house for a week just recently, and since he worked 8 hours a day and the trial was on EVERY channel, I spent quite a bit of time watching it while I waited for him to get home.

Scott Peterson was convicted with a lot less evidence than this.

I don't think she should get the death sentence but she should definitely rot in prison for the rest of her days.
A mother who is worried about her child missing, even if she was trying to pretend like the baby was kidnapped and that she didnt murder it, wouldn't be partying at clubs.
If she was ever truly worried about the safety of her child, it would be pretty obvious with police records for a missing person, trying to track down the kidnapping nanny.

It's a simple case of a party girl who got knocked up when she was 19, wasn't mature enough and didn't want to be a mom, but her mom wouldn't let her put the baby up for adoption. It was a huge mistake, and she corrected that mistake and got away with it.

This is true, the money train has left the station and she's on board. She was found innocent so now she will make back all the money she lost by being locked up for those years plus a few mil extra. If she is truly innocent then I'm happy for her.

the prosecutors could not prove how calie died regardless, thats already something to hav ereasonable doubt over and the defense Attorney Banez  threw out alot more statements that although irrelevant at times, were enough to instill doubt in the jurors.

I think a major thing for the jurt was the fact that they found the body but didn't find any of Caaley Anthony's DNA on it.
