I'm not a fan of them either. Not a hater, but I've never been sucked in by the music.

There first couple of albums and even select stuff from the 90's is good. Their earlier stuff is totally different though and worth a listen. Flea was actually bashing the shit out of his bass like he is capable of.

I dont like the RHCP.  Ive always felt like they needed a horn section.  Without horns, theyre just not very funky.  Id rather Listen to James Brown.

I do like them, but I agree that some sax would really set them off

I love eminem, and he has ALOT of talent, and really I listen to him more often too, but I gotta say the dudes of RHCP are some talented motherfuckers, ESPECIALLY flee...  Can't really compare the two though they're so different...

I love me some chili peppers though!

Not a RHCP fan either. i dont hate them but whenever ive heard a song of theirs pop up i always thought their songs sounded kind of the same as each other.  I dont really listen to other bands on mainstream radio either though. :shrug:

The rest of their shit I could take or leave, the more recent you get the worse it gets. And it gets to the point of unbearably bad

Agree with everyone saying that their earlier work is is cooler than the more recent.  Some of the radio singles off of Stadium Arcadium are bleh.

Nice to see those who don't like them still respecting them as talented musicians, can't deny them that.
