I wonder what document that is? There is 705 files in the one folder and some unwieldy(giant wall of text) txt files.

The PDF "street slang" is in it pretty crazy. 38 pages of drug terms and terms for users.

No.  Lulzsec definitely hacked the emails though, I'm downloading the torrent now.  I think they're going to release it in pieces but I'm not sure.

again this isnt showing marines hunting illegal aliens as was the claim in
the original post, 2 people with 'marine ID cards' are mentioned even
though there's no such thing as a 'marine ID card'

what's this source, where's the email with this information not just some
snippet of a purported email that's circulating around, all this article
and any other gives is "Boing Boing did a great job pulling out some
noteworthy items early on, including this alarming report of two
well-armed guys dressed in camo, staking out the border:"

well guess fucking what, there's some kind of report associated with it,
WHERE'S THE REPORT... surely this would be noteworthy enough to post in
the full format on what ever 'news' site is carrying it

neither of the above, I've stated repeatedly what is in question

yesterday at around 4pm when boingboing released their story, a story that
claims no more than any of the articles do and provides no more
verification including a lack of citation as to where their information

i think it's an official bulletin

the men could easily be lying about being paid contract employees and marines

but that doesn't take away from the fact that the encounter took place

whether or not they are marines being paid to hunt illegals is up to your interpretation, i suppose


where's the report? somewhere in the thousands of leaked documents

the articles i posted are early highlights and outlines of some of the material

this marines story is just a small part of the leak, the quote is probably all there is and was part of a bulletin discussing a wide range of topics, but it's still an interesting piece of information

remember, this is all about ONE encounter from the perspective of the border patrol, that's it

it has nothing to do with who is paying them or how or why it's being conducted

it's only dealing with the fact that border patrol ran into two guys who claimed to be hired guns

DOCUMENTNOR DID THEY POST THEIR SOURCE DOCUMENT, YOU KNOW, THE FILE
THAT 'BULLETIN' CAME FROM SO WE CAN VERIFY THE INFORMATION

for all we know it came from the comments section of TPB or they heard it
from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard it from another...

It's not even just what the content is saying that is troublesome, but the obvious passion behind it. If you're going to make a position against illegals, fine. But do it in a manner that is LOGICAL and not purely driven by emotion.

It makes me wonder if the person writing that e-mail lacks rationality when doing his or her job. When I read that big block of text of incessant rambling, it makes me wonder if they are insane or in an unstable mind-state. Maybe it's just me, but when I am dealing with a "peace officer," I would like to be rest assured that they are not a bigot with anger issues.

I have a friend who was a marine that I went to medic school with. He was in the process of being contracted to guard private land in texas with the order to shoot tresspassers. Perhaps this is what they are reffering to.

given that Obama refuses to send troops to the border to protect americans I
can understand why private individuals are trying to contract private
security and once someone is serving inactive they have to do something to
make a living, what I'm questioning is the whole 'marines hunting illegals'
bullshit because it doesnt sound like a border patrol incident report, what's
posted on boingboing sounds like  a summation of something someone may have 
read and the shit from the blog in the OP sounds like embellishment

I'm not claiming this doesnt or couldnt happen because it could and shit
like this has happened, I'd just like to see that journalistic integrity
and have these fuckhead journalists post the source document
