their first repsonse was pretty intense though. haha, i wouldn't have replied after that.

it would be funny to get a bit of egg on the face of a big newspaper for printing a story that is totally unfactual and is later discredited, but you might end up getting someone fired at a newspaper though who prints or wrote the article.

See what you get.

The point is - you could put any drug into this story, anything at all.. It's your typical "THE CHILDREN, THINK OF THE CHILDREN" story.

Most of our fears fed to us by the tabloid media don't make much sense at all and are rather sensationalist... but they oftenm aren't caught out on these things, because someone holds a legitimate fear, and that counts as news.

When the SOURCE is removed from the story, and NO ONE bothers to check their facts, then the story is hollow - completely.

Which is actually the perfect opportunity for people to jump on the "You are idiots" bandwagon.
It's also the perfect opportunity for another media agency to catch them out, and then provide some of the other typical drug myths about it, and then look at the truths of it - positive research from organisations like MAPS.

It's a trojan horse, essentially.

Hehe... that's a good point, and i'd feel bad - for just a moment... then I'd realise that one less terrible journalist is ACTUALLY a good thing, and that person should either go back to journalism school or look at a different career path!
