Thanks for the remarks and opinions, guys.

Even though much of the anti drug war logic is based on facts, it is a valid point that an otherwise sensible approach can be dismissed because the reader (whoever it may) was put off by sarcasm or expressed frustration in the writing.

Again this also depends on what intentions are there, what outcome is expected, and the media outlet that is being pursued. Sometimes particular styles are more appropriate than others, and sometimes you just want to cuss out ignorant ass people.
