yep.  Newton's second law:  Formula: 0.  For a constant mass, and constant Force, there is a rate of change in velocity, and since space is almost frictionless, it will go faster and faster.

Maybe install a sensor that detects which direction the most photons are coming from and align the photon collector to be normal to that direction.  There is no reason why this thing will need to have a straight trajectory.
