I was just thinking... If the Mythbusters did an episode about mycology/mushrooms what would the some of myths be?

While mushrooms don't cause your brain to bleed they can cause adverse psychological effects in certain people.

hmmmm. i cant think of any specific examples for mushrooms (as the mushrooms make you gay myths has already been stated :lol:)

but, i think a psychedelics myth episode would be great. and a marijuana myths episode. (pot makes you stupid, i know a guy who took lsd and thinks he is a glass of orange juice, etc)

pretty much if they did a drug myths episode i would worship them forever.

unfortunately if they made such an episode, it would never be aired.

Mushrooms grow under cow shit. What a fucking stupid myth. If I ever see someone out in a cow pasture flipping over turds I'm not going to even try to teach them the right way, someone that dumb just needs to be punched in the face.

i know, if you use an incubator you are absolutely doomed to contams! another one, mushrooms are hard to grow! another one, Panaeolus species is hard to grow! another one, L.C`s always`s get contaminated! another one, new people to the shroomery site are dumb! another one, well i could go on and on about some of the bull shit thats said here but i think we all know!

you were complaining about this earlier in another thread, and i think its worth pointing out that you took some good advice the wrong way at some point.

i came here as a noob to growing, asked questions, got answers, and was told to use the search engine too.

it happens to everyone who comes here and is new to growing.

sure it might not seem like a big deal, but answering questions that have been answered 500 times (and have specific threads about them in the archive) is redundant and clutters the growing section.

A friend of mine SWORE to me that this is how him and his uncle used to find them.
I argued with him about how he was lying for a while, then I was just like fuck it. "Your right, they grow under the turd..."
