sawdust

so I just found a solid source for Doug Fir sawdust, will this work for blocks and sawdust bags?
hardwood or mixed fir/hardwood sawdust and even chips are extremly hard to find.
I have a ton of chips that are mixed alder with fir that I could add to the sawdust and iave access to alder and a woodchiper now..
as far as sawdust though this is the best I could do though.

I've posted lots of Douglas fir grows, most with a bit of Alder mixed in.  D fir, and especially fir bark are great substrates.  If you have a shredder, shred up some Alder to mix in.

Here's four different strains on Douglas fir. From left to right, ZA, A-10, 720, S75.

Thanks roger, really want to start growing more edibles, especialy with the 80 acres that my friend has for my to play with, which 60 of it is alder.:dancer:
I have fir sawdust and then alder/fir wood chips that I got from the landscape company I used to work for but they are hit in miss.  I was planning on using those with bran and the sawdust.
I thought you couldn't use barkdust for growing?
How do you process it and would hemlock be ok? and you would probably what they refer to the fresh product?
BTW, nice pics.
