How many of you watched Dragon Ball Z as kid? How many remember Mr.Popo?
I was flipping through channels on Saturday morning to find that DBZ was on and so I thought that I would revisit my childhood for a bit. It seems that they have deemed Mr.Popo politcally incorrect and he is now blue.

Are you fucking kidding me?  It's not like they made Mr. Popo look like that then made him talk in slang, eat nothing but fried chicken and watermelon, and sagged his pants...  Mr. Popo is the shit and his character plays several important, positive roles in the DB universe.  :picard:  This is pathetic.

That's fucked.  I can remember watching it before school in the morning and they'd always stop it right before Goku went Super Saiyan and restart the series.  Then I was talking with this Korean kid at school and he had VHS tapes of the whole series.  It was in Korean but subbed in English so I was able to get completely caught up.  They were completely uncut too... There was blood, foul language, everything UPN didn't want us to see.  :evil:

DBZ would be a much better series if it weren't dumbed down for kids. Like it needs lots of gore, bad words, dr00gz, sex and other fun shit.

That's really fucked because removing the halos destroys a plot element. That was the only way you could tell between the living and spirit characters. For the majority of it (if I remember correctly) the two don't interact, so it makes it really hard to understand where Goku is, why the fuck he's not saving the day, if you miss the ep where he dies.

i actually rewatched all of DBZ like 2 months ago.. the uncut english dub ones. i think Frieza was by far the best series. the rest of it was kinda boring to be honest.. :shrug:

there was like 4000 episodes and every one of them was like "i was only toying with you!" or "AAAHHHHHHH!" <-- powering up sound

Dragonball GT was almost unwatchable.. uugh..

the only think i liked about GT was kid goku going supersaiyan, and supersaiyan 4. loved how their bodies were covered in red fur.

I don't understand why they wish to "protect" our children so much? I think that its just making them more sheltered and slows down the maturity process. Also, no kids even realizes that Popo is actually a racist stereotype because hes just some weird alien thing in there eyes(Which he is).
