Watercress
    #13746129 -

I recently fell in love with watercress, whenever i find a food that's super healthy i usually report back here so thought i will this time aswell, as this is one of the best imo

I've started adding watercress in my green smoothies (with cucumber/kale/barley grass) and there's nothing i put in body that feels better than this concoction

Watercress is a relatively unknown superfood that supposedly is really good at fighting lung cancer, so definitely one for the tokers... it also supports thyroid function, detoxifies, and tastes spicy, fresh & delicious, i think it was the Greeks that used it for lots of illnesses & thought it to be a blood purifier

:peace:

I thought they grew in water... looking at wiki it's described as 'semi-aquatic'

well they prop need to be semi-submerged, like rice. idk know, i trying to make a joke, not knowing much about them. the ones at work come whole, and the roots are covered in dirt. but if they need to stay semi-submerged that would explain why they are called watercress. haha, next time i'll look into it before making a joke.

PS-Why are red onions purple?
