Purify Your Blood?

Whats some good foods/drinks to help purify your blood?
I've recently bought some coconut water which i LOVE and its supposed to be really good for your blood, they even used it in wars for blood transfusions due to the balance of ph, electrolytes & it being naturally sterile
The only other food i've actually felt as being good for my blood was some big dark leafy greens i bought form a supermarket a while back, the leafs surface was like it had bubbles on it and as soon as i ate it i could actually feel it was good for my blood, i wish i could remember what the leaves were called... they were big dark green leaves with a bubbly texture

I love citrus right now. I'm doing an orange juice monodiet this week.
I know what you mean about coconut water. There is NOTHING like it. I could consume nothing but coco water for weeks and be happy. So many electrolytes and minerals. I'm glad you're enjoying! Another one I felt like mentioning is watermelon! I always feel so refreshed after eating that. Watermelon season can't get here fast enough.

I like soaking a head's worth of spit garlic cloves in a bottle of vinegar and taking it in the morning as a tonic for spring blood cleaning (Four Thieves' Vinegar). You can mix it with some honey and hot water for a pleasant little cordial. Plus it's bomb eaten straight on salads/food
Sassafras root and sarsaparilla root teas are supposed to make good blood cleaners also.
I've also heard 'poke salad' is supposed to be good for that to though I've never tried it. You boil the young spring leaves of pokeweed (Phytolacca spp.) for ~five minutes each in three different changes of water (it's VERY poisonous) and eat the resulting greens for a cleansing, mildly laxative, nosh. I offer this as information only as I can't personally attest to it's effectiveness but I know that regardless of it's danger it's traditional in parts of the Southern US and it's ingestion carries on to this day. The following common herbs are excellent for blood purification:
Garlic Goldenseal Red Clover Burdock DANDELION ROOT Alfalfa Fennel
There's a lot more but that's off the top of my head..
Then there's CHINESE HERBS you can look into. Shitloads of those. If you go that route I suggest looking into patent chinese medicines, which are basically just a combination of a bunch of different chinese herbs for a specific purpose. I don't have time to look up specific formulas but this is a good site for sources and they have everything cheap, should get you started - http://www.chinesenaturalherbs.com/disorder_pages/blood_stasis.htm
As for FOODS.... there is...
Grapes Beets Raspberry Watercress Spinach Tomato Lemon and Lime Cucumber Celery Carrots Vinegar, esp Apple Cider Vinegar Those are the powerhouse blood cleansers and many more....

Dandelion root and burdock root together are great for cleaning the liver and helping it process junk from the blood
I can't believe I forgot about those and red clover (both the flowers in tea & you can get the seeds to make sprouts). Love 'em all.
And I think beets as a vegetable are . Borscht owns.
Nice list, Shroomism

Yeah toxins get in all kinds of places, especially the liver and kidneys. But blood is pretty important. And a lot of the blood purifying herbs/foods etc are also good for cleansing toxins from the liver and other vital organs as well.

Sensitive enough to feel and pin point your blood is dirty?
C'mon.
I like water. Water is clean and refreshing, and helps lube up everything. Yay water.
Watermelons fuckin ROCK when you are shit faced drunk.
Smash a half a seedless watermelon before you pass out. You wake up and feel like a million bucks.
Goes the same without the alcohol
I have two cans of Lichi's at home ( Thanks Moth ) and these are great if you can find them to feel nice and pure within.
Really though you sound psycho. You should quit nitpicking so hard at little details. You can not tell yourself your blood is "dirty" IMO. An overall healthy lifestyle will ensure your overall health.

You limit the possibilities of a human existence
You don't think its possible to be more in tune with your body then you currently are?
You can be so sensitive to the point that when you pick fruit from a tree you do it as gently as possible so as not to hurt the tree, because you can feel other beings pain so sensitively.

Id say in a human body/mind complex theres bothe the ability to be completely insensitive to others existence & also the ability to be completely sensitive to other beings existence
We have the potential to let go of this life & fully recognize our infinite nature, and we also have the potential to furiously cling to existing as a finite being

I don't know how you would quantify the purity of blood and I don't know what's already been said in this thread but the following basics come to mind:
garlic ginger cayenne
I like these three a lot, they all seem to really open up the vascular system.

I like the idea of balance between the two.
I take care and avoid going out of my way to hurt and destroy. But I am not going to gently pick an apple.
Why do dogs rip up the ground after they shit?
Why do cats kill for fun?
Why do dogs rip trees apart non stop.
Nature is life and death constantly flowing through itself. And being super sensitive and aware of this, is not healthy at all. It's nit picking and will drive you mad into your own delusional bubble. Just stride through life as you must. It's life. That's what it's there for, to be a living breathing human, that takes and gives.

Ugh. I'm going further with this. These hypocondriac posts are what make me cringe when I read through these forums.
I remember when I was 16-18 I was SURE I was having either a heart problem, or a lung problem, from sharp shooting pains in my chest.
I was so in tune with everything then too. I was meditating, I was calmer, more focused, knew who I was and what I was doing, and researched and learned more then, than I ever attempt to now.
Turned out I had bad posture. Just needed to stand up a little straight and try meditating different ways.
Your conscience brain can not FULLY be in tune with such minute' details in your body.
Can you tell when a hair on your head falls out? Can you tell when your finger nails are growing?
The sensitivity you are talking about would be like an ever growing sun burn that never cleared up. You would notice every single unfortunate happening in your body and try to figure out how to fix it. Typically people can hear there ear hairs dying. But they can't feel their arm hairs dying, or their nose hairs. They can't tell which nasal passage is blocked. They can't pin point these problems, and if everytime you have one you try, you are going to become VERY delusional.

What about injecting black tar? I know it cannot be good for the circulatory system.
My dude (I take his words with a grain of salt mind you) mentioned this addict going to the hospital and they cleaned his blood and all sorts of black goo shit came out as a result. I cannot verify the legitness of this though.
If it is true, I would really like to somehow clean my self out. Where do all those cuts go? Out my pores?

My mom studies blood for a living (medical technologist who works for a major Dallas hospital) and she has told me some crazy stories about the foul shit that she finds in people's blood under inspection and analysis. Blood quality always directly relates to the lifestyle one chooses to lead.
Best way to clean yourself out is to just eat healthy (LOTs of raw fruits and veggies) and make sure you get a sweat session in at least once a day. Do this consistently, and you will start to notice a huge difference in quality of life.
This has been my experience anyway, and that of others. I don't go around constantly worrying about toxins, but I am highly discriminating about what I put into my body and how I treat it and I am sensitive enough to tell what supports my health, and what depletes it.

Yea I trust your view on health. I try to eat a lot of fruits and veggies but most are canned. Nothing is better than fresh fruit and veggies but you need to make multiple trips a week to keep up and it's a bitch for me to get there.
The lifestyle I lived was obviously my own choice but ain't shit I can do but keep moving along. I just worry I have caked the interior of my veins and lungs with blackness.

You're doing awesome man and I have mad respect for you. You're creating the conditions for health right now with the decision to change your lifestyle, and that's huge. Like someone said in the other thread, the body is ALWAYS ready to heal. Just provide the right conditions (fresh food, moving the body to sweat, adequate sleep and water) and the body can clean itself and heal.
I buy my fruit/veg in bulk boxes (like Cosco, or at various fruit dealers), that makes it cheaper and I don't have to go to the grocery store as much.

This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely but striving for such achievement is, in itself, a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security." Albert Einstein

Nettle tea has been used for centuries to detoxify the blood. It also lowers blood sugar, and improves digestion.
Tastes like ass though.

Nettle tea is indeed VERY nutritious but yeah, it's like drinking stagnant algae pond scum water.
I'd rather eat the fresh young leaves whole as a cooked green.
It's really good for the hair too, taken internally as tea/green or used externally as a hair rinse. Works really well at making it stronger, fuller, and darker; back in the day the Gypsies planted it everywhere they went for that purpose (and of course for it's high nutritional value).

"sassafras root and sarsaparilla root teas are supposed to make good blood cleaners also.
I offer this as information only as I can't personally attest to it's effectiveness but I know that regardless of it's danger it's traditional in parts of the Southern US and it's ingestion carries on to this day."
There's Aralia sarsaparilla (similar to ginseng) & Smilax sarsaparilla (greenbrier).
If a person truly needs 'blood purification' (as opposed to a therapeutic 'spring cleaning'), as necessitated by chronic infection, or exposure to significant & abnormal environmental toxins, one would want to use some form of emulsification, eg brown algae (alginic acid forms salts with many 'toxins' (even radioactive minerals stored in glands) & which then flush through the kidneys. Smilax sarsaparilla is pretty good at this too & great for your liver & cholesterol process. You would also want a vasodilator (cayenne, Sassafras (I love Sassafras), ginger were mentioned), & anthocyanidin rich fruits to repair vessiclular (veins & arteries & lymph vessels) tissue (hawthorne flower, leaf & fruit, bilberry & on). Also, lymph action essentially filters the blood, so lymphagogues are desirable (calendula & cleavers are great, as dandelion & burdock).
These are all gentle herbs, if there were a serious pathology, one would need more drastic action. Pokeweed is a drastic lymphagogue, specific to certain parts of the upper torso, & is toxic, unless prepared carefully, when it becomes mild, and delicious! ** Most herbs applied to this end are diuretics, a very suitable co-action.*
"Most toxins are stored in fat cells."
Only the lipophilic ones. & they go into cell membranes & nervous tissue as well.

All of the wholesome foods mentioned are really the best approach to maintaining good body fluid health. That, plenty of water, and daily excercise which gets you're blood and air exchange moving. **whoops missed that this was already stated...*
The chlorophyll & minerals in fresh green leafy plants are just about the easiest way to maintain healthy fluids.
Kale & mustard both have warty varieties...

The active constituents of milk thistle are poorly soluble in water. A better method of ingestion is MT extract powder mixed with a fat of your choice, mine being cod liver oil, but any "healthy" oil is good, eg EVOO, coconut, flax, fish oil etc.

The 'active constituents' of milk thistle are much more soluble in 'pure' ethanol than in fats. The only thing better would be industrial emulsifying solvents.
Oral ingestion of powder is less efficient due to poor solubility in hydrophilic (watery) digestive fluids.
Since this stuff potentially relates to saving the life of a person poisoned by amatoxins (shroomery ):
Use a tincture made with a high alcohol percentage, above 70% abv, & if you combine it with an emulsifying plant like Smilax or licorice root (glycyrrhiza) absorption will increase.
