Bread appreciation thread

Anyone else a fan of bread? I go through a loaf of french bread a week.
Usually melting some havarti cheese on a piece as a midnight snack.
My mawm makes some amazing bread alsoe.

There's this bread store down the street that makes all sorts of breads. Im munchin on some white chocolate and peanut bread. :homerdrool: 

Anyways, how do you like your bread?

I just re upped on flour. I gotz whole wheat and a few bags of regular breadflour then some cake flour.

There's a bakery in San Fransisco that makes bread into animal shapes like that; it's neat.

Mmmm, if I could eat one food for the rest of my life, it would definitely be bread.

My favorite are homemade buttermilk biscuits. Nothing like a good cathead biscuit :lol:


And yeast rolls :drooling:

Fresh bread is great. The Germans and French make awesome bread. I love dark German rye bread. Turkish bread is great too and I love the chewy texture of ciabatta.

I wish I could buy a half loaf of bread instead of a full loaf because bread loses its freshness fast and nothing beats fresh bread, especially when the bread is hot and you can melt butter on it easily.

Garlic naan bread is also well wikkid.

if you make your own bread make sure you put a pan of water in the oven and during times of low humidity it better to put in 2 of them.

Mmmm I second the Naan bread. I've never had it fresh though. I buy mine at Publix in the bakery section. Put some olive oil on it and heat it for a few minutes. Soooo good. And even better if you throw it on the grill for a few min :drooling:
