Suspects, victim charged after drug deal robbery

What began as a drug transaction ended with felony charges for two would-be robbers and their victim, Sheboygan police said Tuesday.

Jerel L. Johnson, 19, of Milwaukee, and Alan T. Pointer Jr., 20, of Sheboygan, are charged with attempted robbery, and Joshua B. Levanduski, 19, of Sheboygan, is facing several drug-related counts.

According to police:

Levanduski contacted police about 4:30 p.m. Monday to report two men assaulted him. He claimed Pointer had attacked him from behind without provocation, wrapping his arm around Levanduski's throat and squeezing.

The incident took place in Levanduski's apartment, 1501-B S. Eighth St. Levanduski described Johnson and Pointer as two friends, but police later learned the men had contacted Levanduski earlier and were there to buy marijuana.

The landlord, a 35-year-old man who lives in the lower apartment, came upstairs after hearing a disturbance and found someone blocking the door. He forced his way in and saw a man choking Levanduski.

Both men ran out of the apartment when the landlord arrived.

The landlord gave police a description of the car and a partial license plate number, and it was pulled over moments later near Indiana Avenue and South Eighth Street. Johnson and Pointer were in the backseat.

The driver told police she picked up Johnson and Pointer and dropped them off near Levanduski's house. Another passenger, 20-year-old Gina M. Molinaro of Sheboygan, is charged with misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer for allegedly lying to police.

Pointer admitted being at Levanduski's apartment and said he had put him in a chokehold when Levanduski touched his shoulder. He denied involvement in any robbery.

Johnson, who smelled strongly of marijuana, admitted smoking the drug that day and had marijuana clenched in his fists when he arrived at the police station.

Police interviewing Levanduski at his home found small amounts of marijuana in a baggie on the living room floor, as well as hidden in a couch and ceiling. Other items in the home included a digital scale, sandwich baggies and glass marijuana pipe.

Levanduski is charged with felony maintaining a drug trafficking place and attempted marijuana delivery, as well as misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He could face up to 30 months in prison, if convicted on all counts.

Pointer, of 922 Weeden Creek Road, and Johnson each face a maximum of five years in prison on counts of felony robbery by use of force. Johnson is also charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession.

Johnson was also charged Tuesday with misdemeanor battery from an unrelated incident Dec. 9. The criminal complaint in that case says he choked the mother of one of his children when she came to his girlfriend's apartment to spend time with her child.

Possible two and a half years in prison for a plant. Every lawmaker, judge, police officer, etc who has ever hurt or ruined someone's life by sending them to prison for marijuana is the REAL criminal. It is so obvious how WRONG this is. If we're talking about right and wrong, they are in the wrong. I'm so fucking sick of this prejudiced bullshit.

This guy probably has a mother who is just dying inside.... and all her son was doing was selling marijuana. So many people in this country smoke marijuana, that the idea of someone being sent to prison for it is infuriating.

Absolutely any half-reasonable judge will give the victim  ACD/community service/drug evaluation/AT WORST (and unfairly) probation.

The two dirtbags, including the choke-artist...fuck em.

You, me, this point in existence is undeniably so unique, we take everything for granite ,life , comprehension, feelings, thought, so accustomed to understanding that we've lost the meaning of fully understanding who we are..... we are the extra terrestrial, we are the unknown, we are the mystical...

Kids being kids I guess.  I was never worried about getting beaten up buying drugs but I never put myself in that sort of situation either.

Don't let drug dealers come to your house; especially not drug dealers that look like that.  The guy with the dreads *could* be okay, but the Pointer guy definitely looks like an asshole.

Don't conduct illegal business transactions with less than reputable individuals when you don't have the upper hand.

How did I know the dealer was white and the robbers were minorities?

God, I amaze myself.
