$150 Façonnable jeans FTW

they're so comfortable that you will want to sleep in them. No joke.

No offfense dude but if you have to pay $150 for jeans that is fucking sad. And yes I could easily afford that, my work clothes cost more but they aren't fucking jeans. I always feel sad when I see some dude walking around in some over priced, pre-faded machine-worn jeans. Crap now Ima being mean I'm sorry.

They are the most amazing pair of jeans I've ever owned. I've had them for years and they are still incredibly soft. When girls touch them, it literally makes them wet. I'm absolutely serious. I've gotten more complements about them than any other piece of clothing I own.

Worth every penny and I'm a cheap bastard. Most of my clothes were given to me(by my disgustingly rich friends tho).

I find marks work wearhouse a good place for jeans, at least ones that work with my body type.

I am 6'4, 190 lbs.  Its Fucking hard to find cloths that fit me properly. and I agree PDU, most cloths now days are really lame.  I am not a skater, scene kid, or whatever stereotype is in these days.  I have been buying the same type of jeans and same shirt for the last 5 years.  I never look different lol.  black or blue shirt, and bluejeans.  I would like to have some variety with my cloths but nothing fits.

Wow - this thread took off without me realizing.

To whoever suggested i just buy Levi 501 or 505, since i know that's what i like. The reason i don't, is because both of those pairs of jeans, i picked up for $8 at the thrift store, and the one was brand new. I am unwilling to spend $120 at the LEVI store downtown, but will look around ... if i can find them for $60ish, i will do it.

I've been meaning to go there. I am also going to try a tack shop when i am home over Christmas.

AMEN. I was punker for years and just wore whatever was passed down to me, i found, or nabbed at a thrift store.

These days, i find being presentable excessively hard. Pretty much all clothing is super flashy in whatever way..

If anything, i lean towards work clothes or outdoor active wear type stuff - but i find neither really comfortable for casual wear.  Trying to find something without fancy pretentious/flashy stitching, stones, lines, logos, glitter or whatever is next to impossible these days. I don't even know where to look besides the local work clothes store and backpacking stores. Going somewhere like a boutique, or American Apparel, or GAP is TOTALLY foreign to me, i doubt i could do it. :S

The only new clothing i've found that i love, is George tshirts from Walmart - $7, cool colors, front pocket, and a Medium fits me perfectly.

Arborwear is also a good company as far as practical clothing is concerned. Out of desperation for pants i just place a $200 order, which will net me a free fleece vest. :S

Anyways, I was going to say 501's and 505's are the best, I have about 3 pairs of each and I love em. I don't know what you mean by "athletic" body type, but I'm pretty skinny and about 5'9 and they look good.

I'm picky when it comes to clothes I wear; I know what I like when I try it on. I don't go for tight or too baggy. Since I generally work outside for a living, I need pants that will last and wont tear easily. I wont be in any fashion shows, but I'm happy with Carhartt pants especially now that it's almost winter and freezing outside. I prefer functional, over fashion typical.

American Eagle has some good jeans that feel good and are pretty cheap (like 30-40$)

Those jeans kicks ass. Super thick denim, deep ass pockets, and a super spacious crotch (ballroom).

I've had a pair for like five years, and they can take a hell of a beating.

I've found zero correlation between cost and the fit of jeans.  I have $15 jeans from target and thrift stores and also $100 designer jeans.  I have short legs so I need a wide leg so my pant break is very close to the ground.

It sounds funny but learning basic alterations for clothes can be helpful.  My shoulders are wide enough that I can fit in to a large shirt, but then take in the waist almost 6 inches.

That's crazy. I never really pay more than 20 or so.

They're usually even cheaper in the store.

I just don't understand where the CUT and FIT of the jeans makes them cost so much more.  It's all the same material (denim) and all generally the same sizes.

I hear you - i've found them online for $40-50 in the States, but not in Canada. The sites i found, wouldn't ship to Canada either.

The $120 price tag is at a ritzy downtown super shopping district location + they don't even sell the color i like! - Ill try a sears.

Sounds like there's not many alternatives to good ol' Levi's.
