non faggy jeans for athletic body type (or other functional pants.)

Honestly, i don't know how to purchase clothes for myself. I lived out of thrift stores since my teens and now i am inept.

I have 1 pair of Levi 501's that fit PERFECT and one pair of 505's that fit pretty good.

Everytime i go looking for pants, they are all HUGE. Baggy, saggy in the ass, wide at the ankles and they are goofy if you ask me...

Any advice on finding nice, functional pants?

Online shopping would be great.

no advice here. jeans are a bitch to buy. i have like 7 pairs but only wear 2-3 because the rest don't fit right. pretty much have to try them on in the store if you want a sure shot. but who does that anymore...

If you want good jeans, you're gonna have to try them on first. I usually buy all of my clothes without trying them on first, but the best jeans I've boughten I've tried on first.

Even though I hate trying things on. it's such a pain in the ass. Just find a store with nongay jeans? It's not that hard, y know. If all you're finding is shitty baggy jeans, you're not shopping at the right store. Or you could just wear girls pants.

i find that American Eagle and Express jeans fit me the best. i cant do the cheap levis or wrangler ones or whatever.. they just dont fit me as well.

but thats me. :shrug:

The thing most people don't realize is there's a reason expensive clothes are so... well expensive. I always hear people say "WTF who would pay $100 for a pair of jeans?" but I can guarantee you they will fit better than any other jeans you have. Cheap clothing is pretty much made to fit the average fat ass American and will only look okay if you like wearing baggy clothes. I'm not saying you have to buy super premium clothing; you can get some good stuff at a decent price if you look in the right places. However, nice clothes that fit usually cost a bit more. It's all about how it's cut and the cheap shit does it wrong. Levi is a solid brand though. They have a pretty wide variety of price and style as far as I can remember.

I just don't understand where the CUT and FIT of the jeans makes them cost so much more.  It's all the same material (denim) and all generally the same sizes.

It depends. My current best jeans cost about $20 at Kohl's (because I finally realized you actually have to pay attention to the label and buy the right cut for your wishes. i like flare.)
My last best jeans (which got a hole in them which keeps getting worse, so i try to avoid wearing them) cost about $150.
Buying jeans is like gambling. I've gotten good jeans from Ross for like $16, but most of the time the zipper breaks on them. You would not believe how many pairs of jeans I have that I can't wear because the zipper's broken.

I got a pair of jeans that are like levi or some shit like that, and they're cheap as hell, and they're super soft and i've slept in theml.

exactly. jeans i buy are usually about $50-$60 but they fit perfectly. obviously i try to buy them on sale but if i dont catch them at the right time then i will still buy them. im paying for a nicer fit.

a Kia Rio and a Bugatti Veyron are about the same size and both made out of metal..

No offfense dude but if you have to pay $150 for jeans that is fucking sad. And yes I could easily afford that, my work clothes cost more but they aren't fucking jeans. I always feel sad when I see some dude walking around in some over priced, pre-faded machine-worn jeans. Crap now Ima being mean I'm sorry.
