The guy that done my hand did it freehand. No sketching no flash no nothing. Took him 5 hours. Didnt hurt a bit till the next day. My knuckles on the other had were done in jail with a staple on the end of a pencil and hurt like fuck.

What kind of work did you do?

I know I've personally seen people get turned down even after a really good interview all because my boss didn't like people with tattoos. It's lame, but it happens.

That used to be the case. which is how I picked up the terrible habit of getting on buses and going to strange cities with no preperation, planning, job or anything lol. I cant do that shit now :frown: My back makes me unable to really lift heavy shit anymore and the proliferation of third party software like mastercam and surfcam make total idiots into programmers. They produce bullshit, inefficient, bloated code but most shop owners dont care because now bubbah can do the programming too and all for just $10 an hour.

My specialty is parametric programming (macros for machine tools) but shop owners cant seem to understand what they are when I try to explain their eyes glaze right the fuck over. At one shop we bought a bar puller for one of the lathes and I wrote a macro that actually looked back at your part program, figured out the OD of the stock and how long the part was. It was a stellar example of artificial intelligence lol. It was so fucking dank. Just write your part program then put one line in calling the macro. No need to pass it any info. Somehow I was the only one who understood exactly how awesome this was. It sucks being smart, huh Wiccan? :awesome:

I know that certain people would not hire me based on my tattoos.
But what it comes down to is how you feel about conforming to how other
people feel you should look.



I love my new tattoo and will have plenty more to come.

American traditional FTW. Some parts of the american culture is worth saving.

Tats aren't career enders anymore. Most people dont give a fuck if you can do the job and do it well. Lol, I used to wear a tee shirt to work that said State Prison and had a number under it. My boss fucking HATED it. He was always like damn why dont you throw that shirt away. He would get embarrassed when we'd had customers come in but he never fucked with me about in a big way because he knew I was the only person he was ever gonna find that can make a machine of any kind roll a joint, make a sandwich, whatever the fuck you need.
