Sassafras seeds

Hi, I got some sassafras seeds and I want to plant these.
I live in central Europe, can I grow this plant outside? Or wil the climate be too harsh?
I really don't know a lot about this plant, or about the growing conditions.
I'm still looking up all the info about the plant on the net but I thought I'd launch a topic over here, the more info/tips the better.
I've grown pot and lots of veggies before, also planted a few trees as seedlings and now they have long outgrown me. I know about PH, climate control, the works.
Hydroponics sounds cool to but I don't know how to go about.
Please if you can tell me anything about the conditions this plant likes and will thrive in it would really be helpful. I have approximately 20 seeds.

they take quite awhile to germinate, i did 3 months cold stratification, 3 months warm strat, 3 months cold, then planted in 6 packs on a sunny window sill and had about 50% germination in 2-3 weeks.

I think they like sandy disturbed soil and plenty of light, but once they get going i dont think they are picky.

you know there trees right? they grow wild in the mountains of north carolina i know where ones at that it takes 5 ppl hand in hand to go around it

ashvilles really cool im about 45 min away from there deeper into the mountains i live in the center of national forest and a ginormous lake plenty of outdoors stuff in the summer from hikeing to camping or soon i hope to take up kayaking thats popular here

Can it be propagated from suckers? My seeds have always been stubborn.

The root, in the original rootbeer.

I read of organ damage in people, whose bodies were already being abused, but locals, who saturate themselves with the tea, say they never get sick.

If you can get the seeds going I thin you will be able to put them outside. Sassafrass is tolerant of frost and snow.  They grow here in Ny where these conditions are part of winter.

This was taken over the summer. Unfortunately, it is winter now, so I can;t get ya any new ones.  Hope this is a start at least.

I've got a sassy out front that's been there forever. She's (they're dioecious like weed) about three feet in diameter, forty feet tall, and gnarly as hell up top.

Sassafrases like to put out suckers--I've got some that are fifty feet from the original tree. Three of them were allowed to grow, and they're easily thirty feet apiece. If you could dig up a couple of shoots, you'd probably have more success than if you did it from seed.

I would take some pics, but it's winter out and you won't learn much from a naked tree. It's in Rittman silt loam with a pH somewhere between 5.5 and 6.5.

Is there anyone out here that has been able to make clones of this plant?
Nearby where I live is a HUGE nature reserve, I plan on planting some clones there making for a few nice trees in 10 years.
