I figured since there are favorite active and edible mushroom picture threads, we gotta show some love (or hate) for pictures of beautiful toxic mushrooms. Pictures must be taken by you. I'll start it off.

Galerina marginata shot with a Canon/Nikon hybrid, I used a Nikon AF Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8D macro lens adapted to a Canon 500D body with an after market adapter.

Yeah, it was a bit dry, that is what has caused the pileus margin and stipe to split and the partial veil to stick to the margin and lamellae.

This thread is fascinating. I wish I had something cool to contribute. All I got is this measly Galerina, which, to be honest, I don't even know for sure is poisonous. Ha... Maybe someone could reiterate that one for me... :shrug:

Helvella lacunosa (probably not overly toxic, but...)

Helvella lacunosa is not toxic to my knowledge. In fact, I have eaten it without bad effects. Nice shot though!
