Rampage vs Machida

I am a little interested to see this fight.. I think Lyoto is still one of the best LHW in the world, and i don't think Rampage will beat him.

Also Penn Vs Hughes....  I really don't like BJ, but i think he has Matt's number.

In light HW the fight i am waiting to see is Shogun vs Jon Jones for the title..  He beats Bader, he should get his shot. And i know i am going to have the Shogun fans telling me why Jon can;t beat him, but Jones is a fucking freak, and has the tools to be A UFC champion..

machida by unanimous decision 30-27,machida could win by leg kicks but i think jackson learned some kick defense after what happen to him last time.

i like matt hughes in this fight.they both are older and slower then in their prime.i think matts strength will be the edge.i like matt by ref stoppage from ground and pound.

have you seen shogun fight? dude is so light on his feet.he has knockout power in both hands.bader might be too slow to give any challenge at all to jones.

Agreed.  Before he started getting some recognition, I saw this guy had serious promise. 

I think we'll see the winner of Machida vs Rampage (winner: Machida) fight the winner of Bader Vs Jones (winner: Jones) for number 1 contender spot.  I would love to see that fight!

I usually prefer to ignore the event and download the torrent in high definition the next day.

As long as nobody ruins the results for me it is a much better watch.

Living in Munich right now, so I was able to watch the last fight on time, but unfortunately this fight isn't airing here until 3:00.AM

I think it's going to be a pretty boring fight actually.



And yeah I give Machida the win.  I think his style matches up well against Rampage.  Strong defensive standup, solid wrestling and ground game...

thanks for the links.can i watch the fight right after they happen or the next day? i most of the time read the blogs as the fight happens.watch it on youtube the next day but the video always sucks.unless rampage gets lucky with a falcon punch,i just don't see him beating machida.

I usually do that too...but I always end up having it ruined for me.  I don't have the willpower.

I basically have to stay off the internet until I download it the next day.  Email, facebook, mma sites, top stories on all news pages usually have a blurb, even the shroomery...everywhere I frequent, there is a chance for spoilers.

I'll still watch it regardless, but I like not knowing what is going to happen.

I can't wait for the hughes/bj penn fight though.  Machida is my favourite fighter, but I think this is going to be a very defensive type of fight...going all 3 rounds to a decision for Machida.

It's someone Machida hasn't fought before. Machida creamed Rashad in their last fight.

Plus Rampage looked like the better fighter first 2 rounds to me. Kept Machida on the outside of the ring,and didn't let him circle out to the middle. Threw the harder shots. If he third round hadn't gone so badly for him I would say he definitely deserved the win.

it's clear that Machida's standup has alot of limitations and flaws.

I think Lyoto should have won it, but i also agree it should have been 29-28 Machida. 

Now its time for Bader vs Jones..  Winner needs a shot by the end of 2011, beginning of 2012..

As for Jones he is from Upstate NY so when he fought Stephan Bonnar i got interested in him. And i knew Matt Hamill before he ever went on TUF because he worked in a restaurant with a lady Friend of mine. Lets say he isn't as nice as he pretends to be. When Jones fucked him up to the point he had Hamill crying like a bitch holding his arm, i knew Jones was special. So yea i am all about Jones, and win or lose still a Lyoto Machida fan.

I am thinking about the fight where Jones beat Hammill to the ground, dislocated Matt's shoulder and beat on him till the point he throw those elbows because the ref should have called the fight 40 seconds before when Hammill was limitedly defending himself. I am talking about the fight Dana White called an embarrassment because lets face it Matt Hamill was destroyed and a DQ win was joke..

Here skip to 2:47 and you tell me how Matt Hamill won this fight..    :rotfl:

yah sure it should have been stopped, so what?  does that mean you start throwing illegal blows to win...fuck no!  thats why he got the DQ because he broke the rules, pretty simple. 

As for the ref the first min on the ground jones was missing like 80% of his strikes or aka blocked he really didn't do all that much damage, thats when he started looking up praying the ref would stop it because at that point he knew he was gassed the fuck out, all he had was some girly rubber arm strikes and the ref seen it, no power no danger. He knew he was missing most of his strikes, the ref prolly told him that when he started crying to him or he figuered it out himself, thats prolly why he started throwing the illegal blows because so many were being blocked, or it was because he was gassed and wanted to do as much damage as possible or frustrated like you said, but also to some degree he knew at that point he was fucked for the rest of the match(he didn't know ham had a dislocated shoulder).  Im not agreeing with the ref, ham wasn't doin shit for way to long, but im just sayin i see why it might have happened its kind of like brock's next to last fight he was curled up in a ball for a while with a much heavier hitter.  He wethered the storm then came back.

Hamills shoulder was dislocated as a result of Jones slam.. Did you see him when he stood up he was all but crying... Hammill was the first to admit Jones beat his ass that fight.  He even said Jones didnt lose, and he didnt really win after the fight.. Plus inside info because Hamills training camp is around my old town, and  two of my Friends train MMA. Matt was offered a rematch with Jones and will not take it. Wonder why? Maybe because he got his ass beat up, and is scared, That's the running thought..  Matt Hamill is a fucking joke dude. There are allot people who cant stand him around Utica NY, and wish his Ohio ass would stop saying he is from that city. John Jones is the pride of Upstate NY hands down.... :awesome:

Cause lets be totalay honest here... Matt Hamill is a also ran. He will never be a world champion, and he will only be has beens, and never haves. When he gets in the ring with anybody who has talent he gets beaten, or beaten up and given a pitty win because Steve Mazagotti should have taken off a point for the elbows.  Steve Mazzigotti shouldn't be refing a pee wee hokey game, let alone MMA.
