I believe they already are. Someone posted a link to a site that was
taking about this van/truck thats all white. Drives down the street and is able to do
just waht the shit in the airports are doing. Not sure if they are on the road yet
but I have no doubt it will be soon.

As usual all the people saying increasingly ridiculous airport security screenings are no big deal, are completely ignoring the fact that the security protocols are not put into place by the airlines.

As a business owner how would you feel if the government put into place a set of absurd security protocols that your customers had to comply with in order to be able to use the service you provide?

Not so black and white now is it?

This sets a lousy precedent.
As someone said on the last page, what happens when terrorists start attacking airports instead of airplanes? What will we have to put up with then?

I've been saying for years that if there were any serious terrorists in America they would be showing up at the airport with duffel bags full of guns, and bombs, and blowing up the security checkpoint, and the checked luggage area, before they got on the planes and blew them up.

edit: you see how this differs from the police, where you can't just say "i'd rather not"?

Fuck it next time I go into a store I'm just going to pay what i think the product is worth.  It an erosion of my freedom to be overcharged by dickheads.


You can't say "I'd rather not" by the way...as least not once you make it to the security place.



I chopped the story up a little bit, but that's the basic gist.  He got to security and decided not to go through after he was told he had to go through the scanner or the pat down, now he's getting investigated and might be fined $11,000 dollars.


This is why its such bullshit IMO. You could go with the whole privelege argument up until this point. (Even though its kinda like getting searched to go on a giant cab ride IMO) If you don't consent to an unwarranted search there should be absolutely no legal action taken against you. If they want buying an airline ticket to be automatic consent, then they need to make that an ammendment to the constitution.
