Bluing during birthing (hopefully that's it)

Hi folks.
Speaking hypothetically (of course), lets assume that a person was attempting to grow shrooms for the first time using the PF Tek.

Let us further assume that he couldn't find tapered canning jars and used straight sided ones.  And upon birthing his first fully colonized cake, he had to treat it pretty roughly to get it to leave the jar :frown:

After placing the cake in a terrarium, giving it its first misting and letting it sit for 15 minutes or so, he went back to admire his newly birthed cake and noticed significant blue colouring in the roughly handled areas.  There didn't appear to be any sign of contamination in the weeks, days and minutes before birthing, but this person was rather excited at the exact moment, so although it seems unlikely he may have missed something.

Is it possible that this discolouration was bluing that appeared within a few minutes of rough handling of the cake? 
Would the roughness of handling bode very ill for its future viability? (if, say, it came out 90% intact, but some sections were damaged)

Any advice you have to offer on this situation would be most appreciated.

Did part of the cake get broken during birthing? It wont affect it if it did. If it is definately blue and not green, then it is just bruising and it's fine.

might as well bust it up some more and make a verm only casing.

blueing is absolutely normal, and a good sign of a healthy cake. Next time, just use small drinking glasses covered with a double layer of foil.
