How Is Seth Rogen Funny?

I'm watching the new Conan show and Rogen's the first guest.  That reminded me of a Family Guy skit spoofing him.  Which actually made me think, I've never laughed at anything Seth Rogen has said.  He's a little fat and kind of funny looking but as an actor he's not very funny.  I'm not saying he's a bad actor; he's just not nearly as funny as many claim.

That's kind of how I feel about will ferrell. I mean, he was funny with SNL, but most of his shit is pretty dumb.

I think it's more about the demographic he suits than whether or not he's actually funny.

Any time an under-praised subculture gets a mainstream spokesperson people tend to back him/her for better or worse.
It's just like Mark Emery being the "Prince of Pot". He's a great guy and he'd probably do anything for anybody and really cares about what he's doing, but have you ever heard that guy talk for fucking more than thirty seconds? Holy shit. And those bags under his eyes? Is he smoking heroin along with his weed or something?


If you ask me, Seth Rogan was only funny in Freaks & Geeks and Knocked Up.

I thought Superbad was an amazing movie. He directed it, but he didn't act in it. As far as his acting skills he's alright to me.

Superbad was funny and I'm not saying he's not talented as a writer or actor.  His persona as an actor is too cliche as the same stoner.  It doesn't even change when he talks on TV shows like tonight.
