Joe Rogen ruined my life

So a few months back I had this fear factor dream, I was in the middle of the ocean on a metal T shaped thing, hundreds of feet from the water, trying to grab flags to win fear factor.  In the dream, Joe Rogen the host was egging me on to go faster, and I fell and died.

Ever since then I've had a fear of heights combined with water. :frown:

yea, start with around 50+ feet.

just kidding!

try putting a trampoline in a swimming pool, add large (2' X 3" X 1') blocks to make it just water level. Fill water with around 5000 boxes of green jello.

there ya go! a nice budget way to get rid of your fear :smile:

yeah, it sucks.

Its completely irrational too, but I suppose all my fears have a very irrational component.

I have to agree with blink, getting into the water is the first step... Then jump in from the edge. Work your way up, and you'll start to shed the fear...

When I got up on top of the ledges, I looked over the edge to see if I was going to hit anything on my way down... The way was clear, so I went to the end of the "runway"... I started to get a little nervous, but I knew that if I stood there and let my thoughts run, it was just going to compound... So, I didn't think, I just jumped...

I don't remember where this quote is from, but I remember reading someone say that falling is easy... you just fall... its passive... jumping is the hard part, because it requires strength of will, active participation...

Next year, we'll have you jumping off of the ledges again :smile:
