If Someone Left a Note on Your Car Windshield... * 1

With a neutral, uplifting message, how would you feel?

By positive I mean something short and basic, like:

"Breathe & Be Here Now"

"Keep calm and carry on"

or

"Today is a gift, that's why we call it the present."

Lastly, would you feel differently if you looked around and the same flyer had been inconspicuously placed on every car on the street or in the parking lot?

It would probably confuse me and I'd probably try and figure out who put it there.  If it was something silly I would appreciate it a lot more.  I'd rather laugh then be encouraged.

my friend does that with kinda conflicting messages
for example "have a nice weekend asshole =)"
or "smile douchebag"


i write "smile more" on notes and leave them around in the subway system

I had someone leave a napkin on my car that said "Want t0 get towed?" when I used to sleep over at my friend's place. We would all park half on the side walk (which was about an inch higher than the street) so as not to block the small street their house was on.

I wanted to leave a note in response for them to "Go fuck yourself."

So, would you guys rather receive a funny note instead? The problem with doing that is standardizing an acceptable, non-lame joke that everyone will still find amusing. It's tricksy.

I would think that I had chosen the wrong car to steal and that I should have just walked like I had planned.
I guess that's what I get for not having a car. :shrug:

However, if someone had come by in the night and put it on the shopping cart that I use to push stuff around all day, I would think it was great.

However, if they had put the same thing on all the other shopping carts along cardboard house alley, I wouldn't feel special at all.

I would like it if someone randomly put an affirming message to where I thought it was just for me.
Sometimes the simplest and silliest things can mean so much to someone. I would think that God or whoever knew all the trials that I was facing and wanted me to have a better outlook.
It might even empower me. :shrug:

It's good to feel like someone cares.

I tend to laugh more at jokes that are sexually offensive, violent, or insensitive to some group of people. If I printed multiple copies and joyfully spread the love, inevitably, to a few people it will look more like vandalism.

I like the joke idea though.

This reminds me, when I was in highschool I would buy window markers and keep them in my friends car so whenever we stopped to get gas or eat or something I would go into a random parking lot and write "DO NOT START THE CAR" on a random car's windshield. Too bad I never got to see how people reacted.:lol:

Yea, that's kind of the main message I would like to exploit if I did something like this.

I can just see where it may be perceived as trivial if it is mass-produced to everyone.

But I think it would force (me at least) to re-consider the idea; it's not really a form of advertising or religious spamming, just an honest attempt to make as many people as possible just a tiny bit happier for a moment.

I actually left a message on a car windshield last night, but it served a purpose.  I informed the car owner that it's probably not a good idea to have their Ipod attached to their FM transmitter hanging from their rear-view mirror in plain sight.  There has been some recent break-ins, and they were just tempting people to smash their window.

Just doin my part.
