i guess im a melon head. hehehe I've never heard that term though. I've liked them since i was like 12 or 13 and "no rain" came out(great song) I didnt fully understand how good they were until a few years later though. I like all their albums alot, but i still like the first one the most. Every song is great.

I used to have them on tape from woodstock 2(i ordered it through pay per view and recorded it all bwaahahah) I lost all the tapes when we moved though  :frown:  Shannon hoon wore a dress and had simulated sex with a conga drum for about 2 minutes. It was a pretty good show. Still...i wish i'd had the chance to see them live.

Blind Melon are definetlly unsong heroes when it comes to their greatness. I was like 8 or 9 when i bought there 1st album and i didn't listen to it much and then just two years ago i discovered it and it is really kick ass.

I love melon, when i used to rol,l i would always listen to them or play their music on my acoustic, it sounded more peaceful than anything you could imagine.

no blind melon did the first version. but MANY other bands have covered it. I was just commenting that the original version was by far the best

The album version of "No Rain" is not the original arrangement.......the version on "Nico" is more or less the "original" version. The album version was a bit of a joke........but no one got it!

Listen to the down tempo version on "Nico" (catch the heavy vibe) and then listen to the album version......

The video has bare foot Hoon in a field of flowers singing "No Rain" (he was tripping balls by the way) like all "la de da" and shit.....definatly not the "true" mood and meaning of "No Rain". Funny stuff.
