Blind Melon?

Any of you melon heads? I have been listening to them religiously for the past 6 months. I never liked them that much before, all I ever heard was the bee girl song "no rain", then I had a friend bring over a CD and make me listen to them. They really, really, really kick ass!!! I play alot of guitar with this same friend of mine and our nightly jam sessions have turned into melon jams :smile:

Anyways, just curious if anyone else is a melon head. Seems like a rarity to find someone who has even heard of them, let alone someone who actually likes them, they are kind of an aquired taste.

the original "no rain" is far and away one of my all time favorite songs. i have heard some of their other songs but nothing that really had that same magic. but no matter how down i get 'no rain' always relaxes me and make life seem a little better

I never bought the second album, but I loved the first one. Drive, No Rain, and Change are the three greatest songs on that album in my opinion.

You have to check out all the songs man, that is some great music. Its such a tragedy and loss that shannon overdosed and blind melon was cut short. They would have made history, truely a unique talent they were. But the album soup, that is one of the best, as well as nico blue. If thats not enough do some downloading at kaazaa, they have some great bootlegs too!

I LOVE them! Shannon Hoon was SUCH a hottie...its so sad how he deteriorated over the years. I think Nico was my favorite album of theirs...if you don't have it, check it out...its great!

Blind Melon is the shiznit, though I agree its rarely I find someone else who has really gone and listened to their albums.  It always lifts my mood.

My favorite album is Soup.  Nico is all good, the first one has some gems but I can't stand No Rain after MTV playing it to death.  The ripped version of no rain is cool though.  http://sleepyhouse.blindmelon.com/main.html seems to have more tabs of theirs than most sites.

yeah I have a lot of fond memories of listening to their stuff :smile:

Ya. They got tired of always playing it on the road, so they changed it up a bit by keeping the lyrics but changing the rest of the song completely.

Blind Melon kicks ass. My favorite song is definitly "Walk" god I love that song..My friend is the biggest melon head..shes nuts for them...

Yeah I'm quite the dead head myself, I have every single dicks picks album along with many a many others, the dead is all I really use to listen to, but lately I've really been turned on to the melon, its all great stuff :smile:
