It's funny how a heartfelt, principled desire for limited government can manifest itself in ways that look like a minstrel show.

I don't remember anyone putting on a Bill Clinton mask and whipping white people after he raised taxes. Or Ronald Reagan, after he raised taxes. Not to say that Obama's raised taxes, since he has in fact cut them, but I'd say that's further evidence that this isn't really about fiscal policy at all.

There's just something different about this President, I guess. Pity that no one can put their finger on this mysterious difference, since it sure as hell ain't his skin color.

On the other hand, maybe they just saw the last panel of R. Crumb's "When The Niggers Take Over America!" and didn't get the joke.

Is it racist because Obama is black? News flash, Obama was elected because he was black. Im willing to bet most of his voting base didnt know his actual policies. Just the fact that he was black and he wanted to change things and the opposition was an old white guy with some redneck hot chick from alaska.

And the taxes he was going to enforce on the "rich" are mostly white....and most of the "free" "healthcare" is needed by blacks, who are already on "free" welfare.

That doesnt mean that every white person is rich or every black person is poor. But it is easier to use a majority of something as an example. Plus lets face it how many black tea party members do you see in alabama.

He never cut anything just extended the bush tax cuts. He originally said that He was going to tax the rich. and that there was no more middle class.

Even though now he saying we need to tax cuts for the.....oh yeah rite the middle class that doesnt exist anymore

It is truly unfortunate that you and facts are allergic to each other. The only reason those tax cuts are sunsetting is because Democrats filibustered making them permanent in the first place.

So?  A lot of mothers raise their children after their fathers abandon them.  I fail to see how this has anything to do with the original claim that wearing an Obama mask is racist.

This is not racist.

I think unfortunately people get offensive and provactive confused with racism (I suspect due to 'political correctness' and delicacy governing normal interactions).


The guy who did this surely knew he was going to piss people off and did indeed do that.  While he may be racist, and blackface has a long history of being associated with such, nothing he did was at all suggestive of racist motivation.

I think it is unfortunate that the fact that most would never think of doing something this offensive for fear of appearing racist somehow extablishes that anyone who ignores conventional wisdom and proceeds must have done so not because he doesn't care about offendeing people but because he is racist.

That's a huge leap and one that is a bit dangerous as it can easily stifle the range of debate on issues for emotional rather than logical reasons.

This guy strikes me as a jackass, but there's no way I could comment on whether he is or isn't racist.  How the hell would I, or you, know?

Alright, fine, if you're going to be deliberately obtuse. They're portraying Obama as a slavemaster whipping a white servant. This is meant to be ironic because he's a black guy and this represents an inversion of a well-known historical relationship between blacks and whites in the United States.

It's like if we're ordering pizza, and I say that I can't eat a cheese pizza because I'm allergic to cheese and it gives me gas and it's against my religion, so let's have a pepperoni pizza instead.

A sensible person would conclude that I wasn't being honest about the cheese thing.

no bailout is fair, it's an act of emergency, it's like taking a person who sells the most crack ever, noreaga. the country goes broke, and because he sold the most drugs ever and made the most money, we pay him to stay in business so everyone can keep their jobs.


i don't hate obama, but he is no perfect president. i must say i was so happy that we voted between a women and black president. let's not take the funny racism too seriously.
