If I'm being a "hipocrit," then you are being ign'ant, because unlike promiscuity, financial well-being can be accurately measured and reliably expressed in the form of these handy things called "statistics." Try 'em sometime.

The reality is that black people, as a grouping, are poorer than white people by a very wide margin. This is not a statement of racism, ignorance or prejudice, it is a statement of reality. As for WHY they should be poorer, well, I have a lot of theories.

Holy shit spelling nazi, its the fucking internet. And i do live in the south. So what, you want to fight about it?!

Obviously, they are getting herpes somewhere. And I think it is SEX!!! I would say that the study above is an accurate representation of std's among varrying populations.

Personally, I think they're getting herpes not because of sex, but because white people turn around and pop their herpes sores just before shaking hands with any black person.

Ok now were getting somewhere. Then why is saying that they are more promiscuous racist? The study specifically states that 48% of black women have genital herpes. Why are they more promiscuous? Well, I have many theories.

Yeah, because it's pretty racist not to derive sweeping generalizations from statistics you don't understand. I'm sorry, the next time I read an article about ADHD medication being overprescribed to white children I'll know it's actually because white people are born tweakers.

Also, true. Perhaps maybe you can see a link of some sought now mate? Maybe I'm being overly liberal for you but poverty has a lot of other negative consequences, health risks being one of them. Not just because of close cohabitation among other similarly affected people but because of low levels of education, contraceptive availability (talking £'s and $'s) etc etc.

I don't really want to write an essay but there's more to it than the 'promiscuity gene'.

Maybe you phrased it wrong, maybe you didn't think about it properly but at the end of the day physical health problems have proliferated the working classes of many races and nationalities for a long time. Class and Ethnicity have been linked in the UK and US for some time now, this is not a new notion.

It's cultural rather than racial- young black men are taught to have multiple partners,
and black women have to put up with it because they have limited choice in black men as partners.

Right, it's not racist to suggest that it's outrageous to have this huge racial disparity and high level of the disease among a significant population of our supposedly First World country.  It WOULD be racist to suggest that the disparity is caused by black people being somehow inherently more promiscuous than whites.  It actually has nothing to do with race and everything to do with socioeconomic factors.


I don't know about inherently but their socio-economic condition is largely the result of another affliction stemming from excessive and unprotected sex.  To wit, excessive bastard babies.

Also, many people have asymptomatic herpes.

Breakouts can be caused by poor living conditions.
