Para-Linguistic Frontal Lobes...
    #13130604 -

Para-linguistic frontal lobes... I’ve got baggage. What is the self? A transcendent awareness? But isn’t it housed in the sensational?

You are self-compelled by the flow of sensation, by your being plugged into the world by the perceptions. You figure a sense of change because the data correlates to inputs and the inputs affect your perceptual modes as the environment meanders in its intermixing affections through our time as life forms.

You are a loaded gun, your body has a prehistory in a sense, it is predicated. It is also predicated that your unique DNA legacy which was randomly actualized was one in which the engineering has been potently insidious, in that it has inwardly inflected a certain amount of energy to the sustaining of a self-memory, and in the human it is very much affected by the ever increasing poles of pain and pleasure; useful illusions - but is memory all that explanatory? Isn't forgetfulness important too? Is the realization of these possibilities how we delineate between what is the conscious mind and what is subconscious or perhaps para-conscious really? It depends on how potent an entities volition is?!

If the body is damaged or altered not only is the literal corporal change apparent but the individuated system actually registers it as best it can to inform the sustenance of what is left to act, we are naturally efficient and frugal. Inasmuch as we story tell we might be intelligent? So the self is a kind of self-narrated story telling? And as the human being becomes more and more equipped with language the more and more it is lent to take it to the extreme just like any other resource? Do you have a personality without other people? What is beyond that apparatus is unspeakable (conceptual thought)? It's just there!1?

The correct word is corporeal, soldier! :foshizzle:

Yes, and so do many other solitary creatures, such as orangutans for instance.

It's one thing to simply enjoy a style of life that one enjoys, but it's another thing altogether to refer to another person's choice as "wrong" or to rationalize their behavior as being pathological or resulting from some sort of inadequacy or failing so as to create a sense of superiority or separation as yet another projection of a personal fear or control issue.

 good call, me eyes missed that...

um, yeah I mean I agree, that question isn't elaborated enough I guess... but what is a personality? Housed in communication? Demonstrated by behavior, but how could we rank what forms of communication are most visceral? Body language, spoken, written, etc?

Then we see how reactions and behavior patterns make many solitary animals appear to have quite a handle on themselves as an agent and some consistency to themselves with their own sort of flair... surely between species we see this quite explicitly but within a species it is funny to see how the range is quite relative

Wikipedia puts it pretty bluntly:

Personality psychology - Wikipedia
Quote:
Personality can be defined as a dynamic and organized set of characteristics possessed by a person that uniquely influences his or her cognitions, motivations, and behaviors in various situations.

If visceral means relating to deep inward feelings rather than to the intellect, then I would say that, in general, body and spoken language are most visceral.

Relative to what?

ummmm i guess I would put it this way... quite narrowly relative in the range of possible eccentricities... but then again maybe this is all pretty moot, but I guess it is just that life-forms range in such diversity that within a species the individuals are mostly quite similar... though it is interesting to see how diverse human culture became

Anthropology is certainly an interesting discipline--I just read in an encyclopedia that all rural tribes and cultures have some form of religion.

What's up with that?
