What you do at the beach is up to you.
I enjoy bringing a cooler with ice and tasty beverages. Preferably alcoholic.
Frisbee is always good, as is tossing the football or getting an intense group game of paddle ball going.
Challenging random teams of people to play volleyball against your squad is always good times.
You can also watch the beautiful females.
Tripping at the beach is one of my favorite places in the whole wide world.
If none of this interests you then you can always do one of my favorite things to do which is float in the ocean. Take a deep breath and float on your back, ears underwater and focus on your breathing.
If someone you haven't found something you enjoy yet, then just lay in the fucking sand and catch some rays.

The beach is a lot of things, but one thing it definitely isn't is 'a waste of a day'.

You go to the beach to get all nasty and salty. And sandy. And get stung by jellyfish, or attacked by a shark.  You know, the fun stuff.

worst question ever! the beach is my favorite place on earth. you can surf, dive, spear fish, free dive, surf fish and soo much more. nothing better than toking some green and hangin out.

I was at the beach today.  I'll be going back to the beach tomorrow. 

We drive there, spread out a sheet, and lay there.  When we get hot, we play in the water.  If we get bored, we throw a frisbee or fill our empty's with sand and play HORSE with the beach trash cans.  We listen to music on portable ipod players.  We have fun relaxing and enjoying the wonderful gifts our unique environment has provided us with.

Where's the bad?  Learn to enjoy yourself!
