This whole controversy is taken way out of context. She's talking about how she overcame her racism and, in her words, learned that it was about "rich versus poor." She's trying to defend this white farmer by the end of the clip!

how exactly is not helping him but instead shuffling him off to a white attorney because he's 'one of their kind' overcoming racism

Watch the entire video. It's clear you have not.

She busted her ass to help the farmer get his bankruptcy and keep the farm.

Busted her ass to get somebody else to pay for his farm welfare?  You have a pretty fucked up idea about what busting ass entails.

And you have a pretty fucked up idea about what reality entails.

Oh yeah, Spooner really stuck it to whitey. Since it's clear you're not familiar with the background of the story, an interview was given with Eloise Spooner, the wife of the farmer in question who considers Sherrod a "friend for life." The article says that Sherrod worked tirelessly on her behalf to help her keep the farm. Read it

But it's clear you're just happy jumping on the reverse racism bandwagon without any information whatsoever to impede you. Did you even think to double check Breitbart's ignorant bullshit before you vomited this thread onto to the politics forum? Of course not.

What's even more hilarious is when you said "I hope the white farmer sues the living shit out of her." You fail really hard buddy.

You have been caught in a lie. I don't expect you to acknowlege your mistake.

Available from whom? The NAACP seemed to have some difficulty locating the whole thing.

Breitbart didn't film the event. Someone sent him that section of tape, which he then trumpeted to the blogosphere as an indictment not of Sherrod, but of the NAACP members applauding her self-confessed racism. A number of conservative bloggers who watched it thought something was a little off (The Anchoress, for one), and reserved judgment till they had had a chance to see the whole thing. Even Glenn Beck was on Sherrod's side.

But it took almost two days before the entire clip surfaced. Neither the White House nor the NAACP thought it worthwhile to wait for the whole tape, though - they jumped all over Sherrod. Ironically enough, Ben Jealous - the NAACP president who was slamming Sherrod the hardest - was an audience member of that speech. Was he even listening to what she said? Apparently not.

If, as you say, the tape was not available then Breitbart owes the public an immediate retraction and apology for his erroneous article. What appears and what seems more likely is that the clips were selectively edited to smear Sherrod and the NAACP.

What evidence do you have to support this assertion though? The NAACP didn't seem to have any trouble finding this tape. Did you notice they were the source of the video I posted above?

I knew about it.  I don't really care.  In the end it isn't germane to whether either Sherrod or the NAACP is racist.  And that "working tirelessly" thing?  Sounds like Obama and his "Will not rest until... now hand me my 5 iron."

There is no such thing as reverse racism or reverse discrimination.  The tape stands by itself, as I have explained to you several times.

I said that before I knew it wasn't recent or that she wasn't at the USDA when she did it.  But I also know that she got a huge settelment from them herself.  That's right, she sued because she didn;t get her fair share of farm welfare.  Something Breitbart, himself, never mentioned and which makes me fucking disgusted the government is involved in at all.  13 million taxpayer dollars for a failed farm.  Yippe.  Because they were entitled.  I don't like her just for that and I don't like her for being a racist.

What lie?  The only thing incorrect is that she wasn't working for the agency when she decided to fuck Whitey.  The fact that she later changed her mind is irrelevant.  Probably because she got caught.  The NAACP has been exposed as racist, this woman has acknowledged being a racist in the past.  She says she overcame it but I don't think so.  Almost nobody ever admits being a racist and she still made racist statements.

yeah.  it's not racist at all.  she's inserting that into a situation it doesn't fit in.
people do that sort of thing when they're nervous and when they're afraid of being viewed as ignorant and hence dismissed out of hand as irrelevant.  somehow, in this woman's crazy world, that's not true -- it's only something that white people do to try and make her feel inferior.

she's got some serious mental issues to work out.

i've never once heard a white person say that when a nervous black person starts using overly flowery language that they're being racist and trying to demean the white person's intellect.  not.  once.

oh this is bullshit, the same reason that people who voted for obama only so that we could live in some pseudo post-racial times. why the hell should we care about the skin color of a president who is only half-white by the way. only policies should matter, i personally expected the first black president to be a tough on crime republican as a tool for the republicans to show they are not racist or so. similar how they use palin and constantly throw the sexist card then bullshit how only the liberals are using the racist, sexist, homophobic accusation.

as for the stolen wage, i won't argue about the capitalist system, but slavery is stolen wage, i mean come on.
Quote:
Here's the thing.

If you want to go back and forth on this, tit-for-tat, well..  that just means that at no point should white people have ever freed the slaves and decided to try to move past racism.  what you're saying is, basically, so long as there's more than one skin color on this earth we must always, constantly, eternally, be fighting with each other.

If you want to not be discriminated against, you first should not discriminate against others.  End of story.  I've met, and I'm sure nothing will change in the future, far far more racist and prejudiced black people than white people.

i am not saying what she did was right or that there should be an eternal struggle between both race because of past crimes, if she was ashamed of what she did or something like that it would only mean that she failed to reach out to whites in the name of equality like mandela did and then ensued a epic fail. it is difficult not to when you are in her position and have been discriminated against, i wouldn't say its a superhuman effort, but i would say it takes extra strengh to go against such emotions.

as for meeting more racist blacks well, i think blacks have less educations and other factors like this. also school education pretty much shows white in a bad light, i'm not sure i'm against or for that, education used to be heavily rigged toward showing white in a positive manner, and now i guess we can say it is neutral, and being the dominant military power in times where morality was different being neutral is effectively showing white settler nations negatively.

now for the tape it seems virus_with_shoes has a different story about it. it much more fits my viewpoint but i wasn't watching the tape so i don't think i can certainly comment.

and when we say reverse racism or reverse sexism, we mean that it is usually white who use institutions etc to undermine blacks and it is now reversed , the line between prejudice and racism is hard to determine, some of my socialist friends argue there is no such thing as anti-white racism but i disagree. their argument is that even anti-white hate crime is mostly acting on prejudice while racism is institutionalize and serves the political purpose of keeping a group dominant over the other. i disagree with this idea since i believe calling someone a racist without good proof of it is 1. showing that we are both different race 2. that you are a threat to one's race 3. it creates hostility between both and can be used as a mean to gain an advantage by calling another side immoral.

But he had come to me for help. What he didn't know, while he was taking all that time trying to show me he was superior to me, was I was trying to decide just how much help I was going to give him."

"I was struggling with the fact that so many black people had lost their farmland. And here I was faced with having to help a white person save their land, so I didn't give him the full force of what I could do."

"So I took him to a white lawyer that had attended some of the training that we had provided because Chapter 12 bankruptcy had just been enacted for the family farm. So I figured if I take him to one of them, that his own kind would take care of him."

i meant that electing obama somehow meant that racism does not exist anymore, or that a large step was taken in favor of a post-racial society. i meant that it was pointless to make a big deal about his race to begin with, then show a shitload of african-americans partying on obama's election. especially since i don't think obama is from da hood or really has something to share with african-americans when it comes to culture. someone said that it is actually a president that may have listened to the wu-tang clan once in his life. that might be cool, but no real point to it anyway.

Well, considering Barry "typical white woman" Obama's own persona racism, that was pretty dumb.  I can hardly blame you, though, since the supposed journalists in charge of reporting the news were actively colluding to hide Obama's racism to ensure his election.

http://dailycaller.com/2010/07/20/documents-show-media-plotting-to-kill-stories-about-rev-jeremiah-wright/

Quote:
Watching this all at home were members of Journolist, a listserv comprised of several hundred liberal journalists, as well as like-minded professors and activists. The tough questioning from the ABC anchors left many of them outraged. “George [Stephanopoulos],” fumed Richard Kim of the Nation, is “being a disgusting little rat snake.”

Others went further. According to records obtained by The Daily Caller, at several points during the 2008 presidential campaign a group of liberal journalists took radical steps to protect their favored candidate. Employees of news organizations including Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic participated in outpourings of anger over how Obama had been treated in the media, and in some cases plotted to fix the damage.

In one instance, Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent urged his colleagues to deflect attention from Obama’s relationship with Wright by changing the subject. Pick one of Obama’s conservative critics, Ackerman wrote, “Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists.”

Michael Tomasky, a writer for the Guardian, also tried to rally his fellow members of Journolist: “Listen folks–in my opinion, we all have to do what we can to kill ABC and this idiocy in whatever venues we have. This isn’t about defending Obama. This is about how the [mainstream media] kills any chance of discourse that actually serves the people.”

“Richard Kim got this right above: ‘a horrible glimpse of general election press strategy.’ He’s dead on,” Tomasky continued. “We need to throw chairs now, try as hard as we can to get the call next time. Otherwise the questions in October will be exactly like this. This is just a disease.”

(In an interview Monday, Tomasky defended his position, calling the ABC debate an example of shoddy journalism.)

Thomas Schaller, a columnist for the Baltimore Sun as well as a political science professor, upped the ante from there. In a post with the subject header, “why don’t we use the power of this list to do something about the debate?” Schaller proposed coordinating a “smart statement expressing disgust” at the questions Gibson and Stephanopoulos had posed to Obama.

“It would create quite a stir, I bet, and be a warning against future behavior of the sort,” Schaller wrote.

Tomasky approved. “YES. A thousand times yes,” he exclaimed.

Read more: http://dailycaller.com/2010/07/20/documents-show-media-plotting-to-kill-stories-about-rev-jeremiah-wright/#ixzz0uMtHe2N0

Stephanopoulis and Gibson are both liberals, mind you.  Apparently they wandered too far off the plantation for these people, who are all prominent in the field of journalism.  So far.  With any luck they will all become as toxic as Dan Rather when he was caught faking and manipulating news for his favored candidate.

There is literally a galaxy full of this shit coming out

Hardly, as we have explained to you.  You still have not one word to say about the NAACP statement or Ben Jealous or the happy agreement of the audience when she was relating her tale of fucking Whitey.  "Trying to establish his superiority," indeed.  The farm welfare queen was carrying a chip.  A chip 13 million dollars might have somewhat lifted but certainly not entirely.  Because she was entitled!

Quote:

You cannot possibly be this stupid. The audience's reaction was in CONTEXT of the story already being told, which was prefaced by Sherrod's remarks "the struggle is really about poor people" NOT race. Her story is not about "fucking Whitey" it's about helping whitey and learning that her purpose in life was to help the poor not fuck the white man. It's painfully obvious you still haven't watched the video yet. If you have it's even more troubling and might indicate that your head resides in a certain other part of your body.
