Metal went to shit after these "Deathcore/screamo" idiots came out. I still enjoy me some Metallica and Iron maiden though.

i used to love between the buried and me, they got too repetitive

Mataspore check this out.. blast beats can kill my interest in a metal band but they can be used well

for example this band know when to use them

3:15 - 3:30 is so perfectly placed

CoF is awsome!!!

Also nemesis, medusa and hemlock, nymphetamine, and her ghost in the fog are amazing songs.

cradle of filth haven't put out any real quality for the better part of a decade I think. same with dimmu borgir. all the old stuff was great, then it just went downhill.

Oh please..

As if I actually cared what my peers think about me? What are we in highschool?

I see you enjoy screamo, may I propose this question...

Why don't you just listen to a dying pig? Cause thats exactly what they sound like. I actually prefer music that sounds good. Not some raging pissed off pig that sounds like it's having anal sex for the first time.

Periphery - The Walk

This band is awesome. They put out an album with vocals and everyone hated it so they released it instrumentally. Similar to Meshuggah and Animals as Leaders but IMO a bit better. Some really cool parts. EPIC to listen to while working out or running.

I've been listening to mainly Stoner stuff like Kyuss lately.

I've yet to find trippier Metal.

I love Kyuss. Check out that tune I posted, I have faith that if
you enjoy it you will further explore all the offshoots of that band.

There's tons of stoner/acid metal out there!

sleep is the shit. not many people are into them. they're basically the spiritual successors to black sabbath. think they only put out 2-3 albums.

I'll have to check out Om more. Are they overly religious? I know one of their albums is titled "God is Good" or something similar. But yeah I listen to a lot of Stoner been digging on...

Acrimony (Probably the best Kyuss-sounding band)
Spiritual Beggars
Turn me On Dead Man
Down
Earthless (Beyond ownage)
Earth

Lately. I wish there was more Instrumental Stoner out there.

Earthless

Acrimony

Shit melts my face every time.
