Going to downtown Chicago need tips on smoking in a hotel room.

I'm going out of town to Chicago with a friend and my dad to see the Cubs Phillys this weekend  and were staying downtown at a pretty nice hotel.

Were bringing some bud and since its a decent hotel they check your cars in a parking garage. Although we may be able to dip out here and there to smoke in the car I figure were going to want to party in the hotel room at some point.

If anyone has any pro tips on smokn in hotels and especially ones with possible smoke detection Ii would appreciate it.

My best bet now in my eyes is Zorbex smell remover than some cologne and damp towels over smoke detection equipment. Than ofcourse a damp towel on the floor over the hotel room door.

Let me know if you guys have any other ideas.

i have NEVER had anyone search my car unless im entering a festival or some shit...

and just towel the door, open window, use some OUST, get a flubetube filter thing whatever

Get some ozium and smoke in the bathroom with the vent on.

put the shower on full hot, steam the room up, towel under the door, use a bowl you can light and immediately thumb cover (not a joint), exhale in exhaust vent. The steam dilutes the smell and forces the lighter air (your hit) up and out.

And while there is an exemption to allow hotels to designate up to 25% of their rooms as smoking (although it is still not allowed in the hotel lobbies, bars, or restaurants), some hotels are going along with the growing trend and making the entire hotel non-smoking.

You can also smoke on the lake shore parks under trees as long as your smart and stay away from people its a great way to watch the sun rise after a night of drinking. But in Chicago it depends on what area your in Ive smoked down alleys and what not during the night but only in the more liberal or shitty areas.

Where are you staying BTW I could recommend bars and what not .

Yeah i dont even think they have smoking rooms in some hotels downtown anymore.

As long as your not super obvious or in a super up tight area you'll be golden. I even smoked on a train on new years eve but it was like 3 am on new years eve  :shrug:


I smoked right before the taste this year and then saw salt and pepper and ate some awesome food

"Clean Indoor Air Ordinance (No Smoking) - The ordinance exempts private residences (except residences that are used as day care facilities or any other business to which the public is invited), some hotel and motel sleeping rooms, and retail tobacco stores."

smoking is banned in all public places. i just checked.

idk about hotels/motels,  and hookah lounges obviously are legal

You are correct about their being a smoking ban in Chicago.  However, there is an exemption for some hotel/motel rooms, as indicated by the link I already provided.  The OP is asking how to get away with smoking in his hotel room, and getting a smoking room is a good idea as long as he is not opposed to sleeping in a room that smells like an ashtray.  If he is a smoker, the smell probably won't bother him, and if he lights up a cig while smoking bud the cig should cover it up pretty effectively...

its not hard. i used to work at a hotel and we would charge the guest an extra $200 if they were smoking in their room.

we have their card on file and if they refuse to pay we would call the cops and have them arrested for theft of services.

just go outside dude.
