Snackmaster 2400 at garage sale

Guy said "... $2... ?", so I paid him five. Used about twice, still has the box.

Kinda noisy, I think I'll mostly use it when I'm at work.

That's what I was guessing. With dehydrators is it better to have a real low heat or no heat and just fans? Sry if the ? is off topic just wanna know what's the best to look out for.

Heat doesn't matter much, set it to Medium.

I have a mini-batch in it, 6 ounces fresh. :thumbup:

my friend gave me this thing
its for drying cloths
it has like 4 fans and 5 mesh shelves
blows slightly heated air
im sure i can dry a pound on it
hopefuly i can try one day haha

its not to big either and folds up nicely

No, its definitely not better, but low heat is fine if thats all you got. Quicker is better.

Doc, go get a lean cut of meat, freeze it for about an hr so it makes it easier to cut into thin slices. Then marinate the slices in a ziploc for 2 days.

You won't be disappointed. The quality product will make it worth the extra effort.

There are plenty of good marinades on youtube, most of them consist of soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, garlic/onion powder, black pepper, and a few other ingredients but those are the most common.

Well the jerky gun works fine, and cleans up easy. 5-6 hours until it's ready.

Edit- an hour in, it smells yummy!
