question about prescriptions

hey i just went to my family doctor and was prescribed 2 30mg adderall ir daily.. this was a lot easier than i thought bc i was prescribed it about a year ago

but

my mom took my script and will not fill it bc of her opinions (my aunt used to abuse adderall heavily)

so my questions is
can i call the doctor and say i lost my script or can i have the doctor's office call my walgreens? im 20 years old btw

Definitely not.  All of the ADHD stimulant medications are schedule 2.  The highest schedule of a prescription drug.  There are specific rules that apply to only those meds.  Every prescription is considered a "new" prescription.  There can never be any refills on any prescription for those meds.  The doctor can give you up to two additional one month separate scripts, if they are post-dated.

If your story is legit about your mom taking the prescription and keeping it, you can try seeing the doctor in person and pleading your case.  I wouldn't be surprised if they do not want to give it to you because these meds are heavily abused and there is a black market demand for them.  For all the doctor knows you could have sold the entire last bottle he/she wrote you a script for.

I also can't believe they wrote you for 30mg twice a day.  That's a huge dose.  Probably the maximum I've seen mentioned online, and that's usually from people who have been on it for years.

i was trying to low ball and get 25mg XR and he basicly laughed at me and aid no no ill give you this

but the prescription wasnt actually taken.  the note he wrote to get the prescription was (not sure what to call that)

tell your mother you will call the police. whether or not you do is up to you.

she stole your script bro, and you are an adult. what if i came up to you and stole your shoes? what would you do?

anytime i lost a script or lost the paper the doc wrote it on, they always said that without a police report they wouldnt write another.

i was seriously not even going to try to ask for an adderall script, i went in there for not being able to hear out of my ear

the only reason i asked is bc he asked me if my prescriptions are good

when dr. said he'd prescribe me it, and at that dosage, i thought i was on punk'd

i really thought it was a joke :lol:

This dude has a point actually.  It's a serious offense considering the schedule of the drug.  Regardless if you live with her or not, or are on her insurance, she can't take it from you.

after arguing and trying to purswade her for 2 hours i find the piece of paper on the counter with adderall crossed out :facepalm:

i am more :crankey: than ever right now


wheres my pipe.. i dont wanna call the cops i dont think anything good would come out of that. just a roadblock i guess :ohwell:

i was i a car wrecka few years back and i truthfully wasnt in a whole lot of pain...my mom and dad took the prescription the doctor gave me ( ihad previous opiate problems)for 30 lortab 10's...i got it out of the trash..took it to the pharmacy and got my script...but i told them i had no insurance ( which i did, its just at that time it was on my parents coverage) i didnt know if it would be an issue or not but i didnt wanna fuck with it...got my pills though:meatwad:

i was thinking of running it up to walgreens and saying my mom crossed it out.. but if they call the doctor's office they usually just talk to a secretary

it is just a total slap in my face after finding the note crossed out, that i actually debated with her and was reasonably nice is so sad to me

her only response when i asked why shouldnt take it was "because"

bring it to your doctor and show him the crossed out script. tell him your mom isn't on HER MEDS and make a joke about seeing if he does house calls or something.

since you still have the paper the doctor will know you arent doctor shopping.
