Laws regarding hotel rooms in the USA

So if a friend were to have a small party in a dumpy hotel, what legal advice should I give him?

Or are they pretty much at the mercy of the hotel staff/police?

DO NOT disconnect the smoke detector.

We did this once to smoke a blunt and the fire department showed up and we had some hindu banging on the door yelling "FIRE FIRE!?"

Thanks for the heads up.

It's a pretty low class hotel in a shitty neighborhood, so I'm not too worried, but I'll let my friends know to take necessary precautions.

We rolled in a hotel for my friends birthday and the indian guy who worked the desk was getting all pissy with us because the hotel stray cat was missing (it was in our hotel room). He was all mad because we had beef tacos on the ground that we were feeding it, but still denied that we had seen it. It was pretty hilarious at the time.

Anyone have trouble smoking weed in a hotel? Not a nice hotel at that, and in a smoking room?

I plan on doing this very soon, was wondering if anyone had any troubles?

Back at my dorms room I used to seal the detector with a polyethylene bag that I glued together with a lighter. I smoked a lot of weed during term time and the thing was alright.

longer you stay the cheaper it is, of curse even they'll get enough of

that is not entirely true.
if you are in a position to receive money (inheritance, lotto, etc.) the government can take a portion to cover any expenses they may have paid while you were under their care.

When I went to Vegas last holiday season with my girlfriend we smoked the hell out of our room. And the Vegas hotel rooms have windows that don't open. Nothing happened to us :shrug:

The rooms allow smoking and I'm sure there will be plenty of ciggarettes smoked so smell shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Also it's two rooms joined together with a door in the middle so that should reduce noise a little.

seriously? they were probably making way too much noise or some bullshit then, I've gone to 6 hotel room and we smoked the shit out of em and drank tons of liquor... no problems
