I do not want this guys job, a simple citation (or probably warning if she would have shut the fuck up) turns into a mob scene and everyone whips out the cell phone cameras to try to "catch" him.  I'm not against filming the cops at all, couple friends of mine almost got arrested for it, but in this case it turned a simple situation into a national news story.

Now for being spotlighted as "this guy who punches teen girls", to which he might always be labeled, he should
get to punch her in the face again. Fuck, that bitch is as a big as the cop, a damn linebacker. Maybe he was 
intimidated? Regardless, she should not have touched him or gotten in the middle of things.

Holy crap, I can't believe he did that.  He socked the shit out of her.  she sure can take a punch.

I think he may have went a little far as to punch the girl in the face, but it was obvious that both the girls were resisting him.  Who knows, he could have been acting like a jackass long before the film started.

He didn't take it far at all, he was being accosted in a very disrespectful and aggressive manner by those "girls". Where I live, that type of behavior is enough to get yourself tazed, or at least maced. Those bitches took it way to far when they laid hands on him (which by the way is ILLEGAL, just in case you didn't know that already)--how was he supposed to know that they wouldn't have continued pushing him around, and eventually start laying kicks and punches? He should've gotten the situation under control before it got to that point, he was obviously being very nice to them, and instead of appreciating the kindness, they pushed him.

all that i see wrong in this situation is that jaywalking is illegal...

that said its not harsh enough of a penalty to bother resisting

honestly if someone is fucking stupid enough to cross a street and get killed... GOOD they deserve to die

believe it or not there are several places in many cities that are very dangerous to cross at

not only is it dangerous for the pedestrian
but it's also dangerous for the people driving by

that's why there are designated places to walk across the street

The article said that they had been having trouble with jaywalkers at that particular place
and the police had been asked to try and keep any eye out for jaywalkers there

nothing at all wrong with what the cop was trying to do
