Generally I side with the civilian in these cases but those girls were getting aggressive in a mob mentality like fashion. Once the number of aggressive entities turned past one he was totally within his rights and limits to punch one.

Not that it was likely but who was to say one girl wouldn't pull something out after they got angry enough. It wasn't the cops duty to take risks after an assault was made against him and frankly I think this is just another issue of poor minorities expecting a pass since the Urban League is responsible for this story getting so out of hand.

Mark my words this guy won't be in trouble over this they did a crime worthy of detainment resisted to be detained and started to by the legal definition of the word assault the officer with multiple people female or not.
