What the fuck does everyone have against opt-outs?

The ratings have always been no more than a bunch of drama. But the second someone opts-out, like me, everyone is like shit, don't trust him. It isn't like there is any information to garner from the ratings. The trade ratings are for exchanging stuff. The general ratings are for writing lame comments. What the fuck?

ratings are a big circle jerk anyway. like oh you gave me some attention so i'm going to give you 5 shrooms, and the main motive of someone giving out a rating is so they get one in return, boosting their "e-rep"

FACT of the matter is ive never received a pm from someone claiming that they dont like me b/c of something i posted, but i have gotten numerous pm's from people saying positive things about me and the things that i say. people who automatically dismiss someone b/c they decided they didnt want to play the popularity game, are simple minded to say the least. you gotta be a real ignorant bastard to not like someone b/c they made a decision that doesnt affect you in the least bit. but yeah i'll go back to posting stupid shit, aka shit that challenges your stupidity.

it's not that im afraid of being rated in the least bit, it's that im not here for ratings, this place is strictly a source of information and an arena to practice a diluted form of social activism. and i also dont think to highly of the type of people here, a large portion of 20 something wannabes who believe that they are infallible. i dont deal with people like that irl so why would i here, their opinions good or bad have nothing to do with me. if i needed my ego stroked i go to a bar, not some drug forum.
