Epic Forecast..When do i go?

Down here in Baton rouge, Louisiana our 7 day weather forecast is straight rain. Do mushrooms still grow WHILE its raining or after it stops? And im thinking of just checking every morning and evening of each day, that a good idea?

Be careful asking about weather related topics such as rain the mods will give you shit. I think that checking everyday would be the best bet until you find some and then once you do try to get the temps highs and lows for the last 72 hours as well as the relative humidity that way you know what window to look for in the future. Also when you do find them and you will if you put in enough time then you will need to identify the landscape and area. Such as elevation, were the mushies found on the south side of a depression or the north etc... also you will want to look for other mushrooms in the area that are fresh. The reason for this is to have other identifying mushrooms that fruit the same times as the ones your looking for. It can give you insight if you are in the right place and if the conditions are in that window. hope this helps myc
