I have to bump this thread because it's so funny how you could see it all coming even after just one fucking game. Plus, you can read this and see who knows wtf they're talking about and who's just singing a bunch of bullshit.

Until Lebron gets a ring I'm going to insist he's overrated.

He's got no help!

He's not over-rated.

No player can do it alone.

He's got one okay player, Mo Williams, and an aging hippopotamus in Shaq.

That is it.

The team around him is effing awful.

Right now he's on the list with Malone, Barkley and Wilkins. It's up to him to get off that list.

The only one on this list I would compare him to is Wilkins. Both Malone and Barkley had help and still couldn't get it done. Lebron and Wilkins had pretty much no one.

I think Barkely held his own moreso than Malone.  Barkley never had the greatest PG of all time playing with him.

Barkley did play with Kevin Johnson, though. KJ did average close to 20ppg and 10 asst during the years he played with Barkley.

Both of them did have tremendous help, which can't be said of Wilkins.

I don't question Lebron's talent- it's his heart that is in question. The disappearing act during pivotal Game 5 was baffling.

That being said the main problem with this team is the coach and GM. The coach failed to utilize the team's greatest strength vs. the Celtics: their athleticism. Played right into their hands. He also panicked and messed with his rotation following that Game 5 loss which surely set a very negative tone for the players whose doubts began to multiply as a result.

When you have a talent like Lebron you should bring in a more experienced coach, preferable one with a ring. That gets player's respect right away.

And the GM is at fault for failing to bring in a consistent #2 scorer and defender besides Lebron. No matter how talented you are, there are going to be games where you're off.

Michael Jordan had his Scottie Pippen.

Lebron is Batman with no Robin.

To be fair, they did have a little problem in that they both played in the era of the greatest player ever, Michael Jordan. I think Malone would have had at least 2 rings and Charles 1 otherwise.

MJ did invite Charles to play with him late in theircareers, after he had left the Bulls and things went sour for Barkley in Houston. I would have loved to have seen them play together but I think Charles was well on his way to couch potato status by then and didn't want to get into shape.
