They should have a good year but I don't see them getting past the Magic or the Celtics this season with a healthy KG and the addition of Rasheed Wallace.

The Cavs will do well to finish 3rd in the East this season.

Shaq is a fat money grubbing horrible addition to the Cavs
They needed some good point guards to hit the 3`s and free up Labron to drive the lanes.
Shaq just pluggs up the Cavs running game.

I cannot believe Yao is out for the season for my beloved Rockets:frown:

The Cavs picked up Shaq because he has 1 year left and in order to get LeBron to sign the extension we are going to bring in Chris Bosh next year

It's 1 game and against the Celtics. Cavs will be fine, will make the playoffs but not win a title until Bosh gets here next year

I don't follow this. So in order to sign Chris Bosh the Cavs needed to sign LeBron?

The signing of Shaq was an attempt to make a move to improve the team this year in my mind. Their guards really aren't that terrible anymore. People just seem to justify any Cleveland move as a move to keep LeBron around forever. I think the Cavs need to keep doing at about as well as last year in order to do that. Shaq could help. We'll see.

I think its very much a Dwayne Wade type situation, where you have to go out every year and prove to your star player that you are in it to win a championship.

I didnt mean that Shaq was worthless, I just meant that he has 1 year left and then they will have lots of salary room in 2012 to try and sign Bosh. Which I think will happen.

Cavs are going to be much weaker if we lose West for a long duration.
