sponsor motivation for contests

In the past couple of years sponsors have really slowed and pretty much stopped with contests. thos big contests used to kick ass but i guess they dont find them worth it anymore. well i feel there should be some gentle nudging by administration for them to hold them. i mean ya its free and not really needed, but they really are fun great advertisment and generally up the moral and whole sharing attitude within the community.

perhaps not a break in ad costs but maybe extra adds for free( in different spots maybe) or premium vendor status for a time. or perhaps set the contract to say they need to hold one every so often for however small an item even gift card or % off items ordered. really its a win win and just really bring back the shroomery to what it used to be. share the love

I know its fairly ignorant to EXPECT free stuff, but it is what it is and i feel is worth a discussion. thanks for your consideration.
