How can I get prescribed adderall?

I want to go to the doctor to try and get prescribed some adderall..any suggestions to make it go better and make it more likely for me to get some?

The best strategy is to "doctor shop". Go to as many doctors/psychiatrists you can afford. For most physicians, its a personal preference whether or not to prescribe adderall right away.

LOTS of doctors will try alternative meds first because they know that adderall and xannax are the two most sought after prescriptions.

Don't exaggerate symptoms too much, but make sure that it seems like you would greatly benefit from adderall. DON'T MENTION ANY DRUG'S NAME OR YOU WILL MOST LIKELY BE LABELED AS DRUG SEEKING!

This is pretty much like rolling the dice, but doctor shopping DOES work!

It'll be like trying to pick up chicks. Expect to be rejected a few times.

How old are you?
If you look like youre in college then you can get it for its actual use. To help with studying/concentration.

Simply tell your Dr. youre a student and you have a lot of trouble concentrating and your grades are slipping because of it.

I am in college. I was going to say that over the semester i have had a very hard time concentrating and paying attention in class. I also thought about researching 'natural' cures and saying that i have tried them and none of them have worked. and asking what else i can try?  think it would work?

I know everyone has some, i want some of my own. that would just be prime and save me lots of money. lol. oh well ill take a shot at it when i go home. I am just going to go to my primary doc first and see whats up.

It's my experience that you have a far better chance of getting a benzo than adderall.

Most docs I've met avoid the stuff like the plague.

benzos and adderall? Adderall is a stimulant, benzodiazepines include anxiolytics hypnotics and sedatives... you could say they're sort of the opposite actually.

the stimulant effects of adderall have the potential to calm and focus legitimate sufferers of ADHD. It has to do with their body chemistry and the regulation of neurotransmitters like norepinephrine.

It normalizes these chemicals at therapeutic doses. This doesn't mean that someone with ADHD can't get "high" from adderall, but at the right doses it helps regulate certain brain functions.

Yeah if you act fucked up enough...they'll give you both.

The doc prescribes my gf adderall, klonopin, ambien, and prozac...all at the same time.  Ridiculous shit.

yeah, people abusing adderall have made it damn near impossible for people who really need it to get it. I have to take 20 years of medical records to every dr I go to just to hopefully get the prescription I need. and usually its not the right dosage but every dr thinks I was being "overmedicated" even though its ineffective for me at lower doses.
I have no insurane (financially, it would have cost me more money to have insurace, because it would have ran out so quick, I would have been stuck paying the premiums AND Dr visits and prescriptions for like 7-8 months out of the year. Can't go to a discount clinic because all the damn pillheads have ruined it, they won't prescribe ANY CDS.  It literally costs me $195/month to treat my ADHD. and thats the months I'm lucky enough to have an extra $200 around.

I seem to be able to get whatever I want from doctors if I just ask for it. or hint at it. I currently get 60mg klonopin per month with a 3 month script so i don't have to go back every month. as soon as school starts back up im gonna tell em I need to get my adderall script going again. or vyvanse again if it is still cheap. but my insurance changed so unless its a generic i think the copay is like 60 bucks. so I might just need to do generic adderall. then I have to complain about how regular adderall gives me bad anxiety so I need some quick acting xanax to keep me from flipping out or something. I think it works cause I always get me momma to come with me and like that seems to make me seem legit and not a drug hungry 20 year old.

and for the ops question. it might not be very easy for you depending on who you are seeing if you don't have any sort of history. but I have been going to psychs and docs for years all in the ploy for getting shit i want. so everyone thinks I have a long history of complete instability and craziness so it doesn't really take any explaining they just look into my file history and don't really question me at all.
